The pirate was in a trance, just like the witch's eyes, his own also glowed a faint green in front of the coral cauldron.

The witch had a disturbing smile on her face, she was too eager for Hook to sign, but Ursula's plan was interrupted by the voice of a sorceress who knew her very well.
— What do you think you're doing?" — Maleficent exclaimed, emerging from the shadows of the entrance of the witch's lair.

The sea witch stepped back in surprise.
— What are you doing here? — Ursula asked through gritted teeth, at the same time Hook stopped his movements, it was like the control the witch had over him got interrupted as well.

Maleficent's gaze was defiant, she was not easily intimidated; she slowly approached Hook and took his hand before he could sign the parchment held by the sea witch's tentacles.

The sorceress blew slowly on Hook's face, the pirate closed his eyes and staggered slightly. The pirate felt Ursula's voice stop ringing in his head, when he opened his eyes the brightness they had before had disappeared, and his head hurt a little, with his hand he rubbed the bridge of his nose while he dropped the sea urchin spine to the ground.
— Mal? — Hook murmured trying to focus his vision.
The sorceress smiled slightly at him.
— Are you okay? — Maleficent asked, Hook could only nod as he felt somewhat dizzy.

Ursula threw the contract into the coral cauldron in an aggressive manner. — This is none of your business! You can't interrupt my meetings like that! Who do you think you are? — the sea witch shouted.

Maleficent raised an eyebrow and walked towards Ursula. — If your plans involve him, then it's MY business, Ursula! — the sorceress exclaimed, her voice echoing inside the lair, causing it to tremble. The sea witch was stunned.
— Stay away from Hook or next time I won't be so kind with you! — Maleficent finished as her eyes glow neon green, she took her friend's hook and began to guide him towards the exit.

The light of the cauldron began to go out, leaving Ursula in complete darkness. The only thing that could be seen were her eyes that were slowly beginning to disappear into the darkness.

Hook and Maleficent left that place walking on the stone path that floated in the black lagoon.
The silence between them was uncomfortable. The pirate knew that the sorceress was upset with him.

Once on the shore, Hook spoke.
— Mal, I know I screwed up and I'm really sorry, I- — Maleficent then slapped her friend on the head with her hook.
— Sorry? You are sorry? Are you stupid? A sorry doesn't fix things Hook. — Maleficent complained.
The pirate let out a groan of pain and began to rub the back of his head.
— Was the slap necessary? — Hook asked in pain.

— My captain! Captain! — Smee shouted as he ran towards Hook and Maleficent.
The gigantic fish skeleton began to close its mouth and sink into the lagoon.
— Of course it was necessary! You idiot! What were you thinking by going with that witch alone? — the sorceress clarified.
