The room looked the same as it had in those years, with the exception of new furniture and a painting of Headmistress Uma, as well as various small portraits of more recent heroes hanging on the wall.
What stood out the most was the pirate flag that adorned one of the office's bookshelves, a somewhat eccentric choice.

In the background, through the window, you could see the large central garden of Auradon Prep, there were some snack tables, chairs and a small platform where the fairy godmother was welcoming the Kings, Queens and various fairy tale characters who were sitting listening to her attentively.

They had definitely returned to their original timeline.
Cinderella's daughter could only sigh as she saw the scene through the window's impeccable glass.
It was as if she and Red hadn't even left.

The sobbing of her red-haired friend caught her attention, Red was still kneeling on the floor, some tears falling down her face.
Chloe approached and crouched in front of her.
— I'm sorry that nothing went as planned Red. — said Cinderella's daughter.

The redhead just wiped her eyes and sighed trying to calm down.
— I just thought that after all my mother could have a happy ending. I already saw that that is impossible. Villains don't have happy endings. — confessed Red.

— Red, you are not a villain, neither is your mother. They were victims of others and that made everything change. Stop talking like a damsel in distress, you are the princess of Wonderland. You are strong, bold and brave. Maybe we can find Hook in this timeline and bring them together. I don't know. It's not time to be on the ground and cry. Come on, they are waiting for us downstairs. — Chloe stood up and extended her hand to the redhead who, after hearing such words coming from Cinderella's daughter herself, felt different. She wasn't alone, she wasn't a villain, and Chloe was right. They could still get that happy ending back.
Red nodded and wiped the last tears from her face.
— You're right. Walking. — answered the princess of Wonderland with a slight smile.

Both girls went down the stairs and ran through the corridors of Auradon Prep until they reached the garden where the ceremony was taking place.

The new headmistress of the school, Uma, was giving a welcome speech after her musical entrance, but it was interrupted when the queen of hearts stood up and began waving her cards.
— Mom, what are you doing? — asked Red, somewhat alarmed by the situation.
— Playing my favorite game. Hearts. — answered Bridget, throwing her cards into the air, each and every one of them transformed into pink heart-shaped bubbles.

All the guests were impressed by such a beautiful display of magic.
— I'm really sorry. I'm just so excited for my daughter to come to this school. — confessed the queen of hearts.
Red ran to her mother and hugged her tightly.
— Thank you for everything mom. — whispered the princess.
— No honey, thanks to you. You are the one who has done so many wonders and made the sun shines a little more brightly than before. You have made me so happy my love. And I know your father would be as proud as I am. — replied Bridget caressing her daughter's hair.
