The afternoon was calm, the sun lit up the sky, the sound of seagulls and waves breaking on the shore near the dock filled the air.
The princess of hearts walked down the dock until she saw a large ship with a pirate flag, its sails ready to set sail. The Jolly Roger lay in front of her.

Bridget took a deep breath trying to calm her nerves, it was the first time a boy had asked her out.
The pink-haired girl held her picnic basket tightly and began to approach the ramp that led directly to the deck of the ship.

— Miss Bridget, welcome aboard the Jolly Roger. — said Smee who was on deck, as he had been waiting for the arrival of the princess to greet her.
— Thank you very much Smee. — said Bridget as she took the hand of Hook's boatswain so she could more easily board the ship.

Once on board, the princess met the entire crew that was lined up on the entire deck of the ship.
Torn clothes, pirate hats, scars and heavily tattooed bodies were all she could see in front of her.
Bridget gulped, not because she was afraid of them, she knew that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but she was nervous because Hook's crew wouldn't like her.

The princess gave a small bow.
— Hello. How are you? — she asked in a soft tone of voice, and almost like magic all the pirates began to laugh lightly and waved to her shyly. This eased the princess's heart, since the pirates were as nervous as she was.
— May I? — asked Smee, bringing Bridget out of her thoughts.

— Excuse me? — asked the princess of hearts nervously.
Smee looked at the picnic basket, then Bridget understood what the boatswain was referring to.
— Oh, of course, thank you. Umm... inside there is a jar of cookies for you and the rest of the boys. — said the princess.

Some of the crew tried to keep their formation but stretched to try to see inside the picnic basket.
— What about the cake? — Smee asked curiously.
— The cake... oh, could you... — Bridget began to explain, however, she leaned towards Smee to whisper in his ear, Hook's boatswain could only nod and laugh at the same time.
— Count on it, miss. — he said, making the salute he only did with Captain Hook. — And thank you very much for the cookies. — Smee finished while bowing.

— Did you bring cookies? — Hook's voice caught the attention of Bridget and the entire crew, who turned upwards.
The captain of the Jolly Roger was on one of the ship's masts.
— James? — Bridget shouted as she covered her eyes from the sun with her hand.

— I'm coming down! — Hook shouted in response as he grabbed one of the ropes from the sails so he could descend more easily.
The sound of his boots hitting the wood caused such an impact that Bridget jumped a little, she had been surprised.
