She woke up to the smell fish the smell going straight to her nose. A yawn left her mouth and she let out a sleepy nose. Letting her blonde messy curls fall Infront of her face. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Her eyes now fulling opening she looked around the tent she shared with Jasper she could smell a musy smell making her nose crinkly up. She dragged her body up making sure not to wake up Jasper. Voices filled her ears immediately as she unzipped the tent door.
" Lilith sweetie c'mon here I'm cutting Carl's hair I'll do yours " Lori speaked her voice immediately going to Lilith ears
" Oh you don't need to Lori " Annie spoke a fake smile on her face " I'm very much capable". Lori shoke her head " nonsense I'm already doing Carl's "
Lilith looked between them as they spoke she didn't necessarily want to get her hair cut but she didn't want to be rude so she sat in-between Lori's legs " thank you " she muttered and watched as Carl Ran off to play with Sophia " of course sweetie we wouldn't want these beautiful curls to get overgrown" Lilith blushed a pink tint going around her cheeks she wasn't used to compliments. Lori didn't seem to mind the slience just cutting away at her hair. Eventually Shane who was siting Infront of them with Annie next to them spoke up " tomorrow I'm gonna teach Carl how to catch frogs how about you join us? " Shane looked at Lilith as he speaks
Lillith face curled up in disgust " what? EW no " she shook her head why Shane gasped jokingly " you don't like frogs? " She nodded " there so slimy and gross! " Lillith went to shake her head again but Lori holded her head in place " Lilith stop moving sweetie " Lilith stoped moving feeling guilty " sorry" she whispered why did she do that? Lori offered to do her hair and now she's messing it up does Lori hate her?
" Don't worry about it sweetie" Lori continued Cutting her hair " so how about c'mon join us it couldn't hurt " Shane continued to convince her Annie looked at Lilith firmly " Lilith honey don't be rude say yes " she had a bite in her tone as she starred Lilith down. Right before she was about to say sorry and yes to Shane. Carl who had joined them a bit earlier butted in trying to convince Lilith to join. There conversation got interrupted by the sound of a loud beeping car startled Lillith looks up as does everyone else all forgeting about the conversation. A voice she can't quite pinpoint is heard " hey, Dale can you see what that is? " Shane hopped out of his chair " talk to me, Dale! " Shane yelled as everyone go up carol hugged Sophia to her side closely. why Lori hugged Carl to hers Lillith was left standing there clueless to what's happening why Annie didn't even bother to go to her daughter's side.
Standing on top of his rv looking out of his binoculars Dale yelled " I can't tell yet! " Amy Andreas sister yelled desperately" is it them? Are they back " ever since her sister Morales merle Glenn t-dog went on a run and haven't come back for a while she's been a nervous reck " I'll be damned" Dale speaks a little breathless as the car gets higher and higher up the hill going closer to there tent " what is it!? " Amy says trying to look " a stolen car is my guess " Dale speaks the car alarm getting louder making Lillith breath pick up this can't be good who was in the car Lillith chewed on her thumb nervously looking around
A red car pulls in and Glenn hops out saying hello happily. Lilith let's put a relived breath her breathing calming down she missed Glenn he was always sweet to her " holy crap. Turn that damn thing off! " Dale yelled hoping of the rv " I don't know how! " Glenn yells over the alarm " Shane went to the hood " pop the hood, please. pop the damn hood, please " Shane speaks over the alarm as Amy got in Glenn's face " my sister... Andrea " she yells in his face. Lillith breath picks up this was all to much everyone needed to stop yelling could someone turn the alarm off? " " Pop the damn hood! " Shane yelled to Glenn looked at him " what? Okay okay. Yeah yeah. Yeah yeah! " He reapeted his words throwing his hands up in in defence as he sat in the car he pops the hood so Shane can
Disconnect the battery to turn the alarm off
" Andrea is she okay glenn is she okay!? " Amy didn't move still in her face as she spoke " she's okay! she's okay! " Glenn yells his hands still up " is she coming back? " Amy asks desperately " yes! " You could she the relief on Amy's face as she spoke " why isn't she with you? Where is she? Is she okay? " She says destprtly " yes! Yeah, she's fine. Everybody's is. " Glenn says before stopping " well Merle not so much " Lilith let's put a breath of relief she missed everyone especially T-dog he would always play with her. This all was alot for her she wasn't used to this world
Shane after disconnecting the battery leaned against the car " Are you crazy, driving this wailing bastard up here? Are you trying to draw every Walker for miles? " He looks at Glenn obviously pissed off Dale looked around " I think we're okay " Shane turned to him " you call being stupid okay? " Well, the alarm was echoing all over these hills. Hard to pinpoint the source." Shane put his hands on his hips ticked of " I'm not arguing. I'm just saying" Dale says I'm defensive before pointing at Glenn " It wouldn't hurt you t ino think things through a little more carefully next time, would it? " Glenn looked at the group sheepishly" sorry, got a cool car " he looked at the car
Lilith Let out a breath biting her thumb one of her blonde curls fell Infront of her eye as she hoped that the rest of the group would come she was really worried about them.
A truck suddenly comes up the hill making Lilith stand up straighter. Andrea hops out of the truck Amy's eyes light up as she runs to her sister yelling " Andrea! " Amy! " The sisters reunite after what feels like forever to them. Lillith goes on her tippy toes trying to see the others in the truck there's a man in the drivers seat who she couldn't recognise. Next Morales gets out of the car with his wife and 2 kids running up to him. Lilith looks to Carl seeing the grief falling from his face. Lilith remember a night only a few weeks after finding the camp Carl and her was drawing circles in the dirt and he told her about his father how he was in a coma when the world ended and walkers invaded and how he was dead. She remberd that night so vividly how that was the start of their friendship how he trusted her with that information. " You're a welcome sight " Dale says to Morales as they both hug laughing. Lilith eyes light up as she sees T-dog and his sister she was about to walk over but Annie glared her down grabbing her elbow. " How'd y'all get out of their anyways? " Shane asked them " new guy... got us out " Glenn told him Shane furrowed his eyebrows " new guy? " He asked as Lori kneeled Infornt of Carl wispering comforting words. " Yeah, crazy Vato just got into town. Hey, helicopter boy! Come say hello. " Morales yelled to the truck
Lilith can see a glimpse of a man in a police uniform so he was a police officer like Shane cool! "The guy's a cop like you " Morales tells Shane. Shane being the first one to fully see the new guy his face contoured into shock Lilith looks at them all confused as Carl and Lori slowly turns to the man in shock. The police officer stops in shock saddens but relive? Driping from his face " oh my god " he speaks just enough for us to all hear.Tears run down Carl's face as he runs to the man a shocked Lori behind him. Lilith lips part in shock was this Carl's father? But he was dead? " Holy shi- " Lilith words get cut off by her mother covering the 9 year Olds mouth.
" Dad! Dad! "The man takes Carl in his arm
He lets out a sob tumbling over holding him tight kissing his cheek as he was over to Lori
He hugs them both tigthly. Lilith eyes water this was really sad it was like a movie reunion scene she used to watched. As she thought about it wouldn't Shane know this man to? She looked over to Shane expecting to see happenis but when she saw his face be was looking at the. Happy reunion alomst envying before lori looked at him and he feigns a smile at Lori and rick. Lilith wasn't stupid she might be 9 but she knew atleast thought she knew what Lori and Shane was doing in the tents at night but still it was weird he wasn't happy for his bsf Lori? Werid.
Jasper Walks out of his tent rubbing his eyes once he sees the group he stares in confusion " what the fuck? " Everyone looks over to him and they all burst out laughing expect Lilith she was thinking about Shane.
