ROWAN THREW HER bag onto the floor, creating a clash of noise. a voice called out to her.
"rowan?" a raspy voice came from the living room of her flat. "is that you?"
rowan hummed gently, dragging her feet tiredly across the floor, into the said room where the noise came from. there sat molly, rowan would argue her best friend.
she was glued to her phone, scrolling through a slideshow on tiktok, giggling at each of them—one by one. rowan curled up next to her, laid her head flat onto her shoulder, and sighed for what seemed to be the tenth time that day.
"you okay?" she patted rowan's head, ruffling her hair slightly.
"yeah, just a long day of bitches, really," she grumbled, blowing a piece of hair that fell in front of her face. "where's quinn?"
"out with danny, said they were going to get mcflurries."
danny and quinn had been dating for the past four years, and they were both insufferably in love with each other. you could never separate them.
"why don't we have our own little date?" molly suggested, eyes lighting up as they both hopped off the sofa and ran to the kitchen.
they each began to scour the kitchen top to bottom for ingredients, gathering up whatever they could find to make their famous 'quinn's on a date and left us adult-free' cookies.
rowan piled their ingredients onto the counter, and molly had left to 'retrieve something.' she walked back into the kitchen from her bedroom with a small camera in her hand.
"i need to catch up on filming," she said softly, as she propped the camera against a candle, looking over at rowan for her approval.
molly had begun a youtube channel back in october 2022, and had grown a sturdy 130k followers. rowan had been a frequent guest on her channel, though she never had much of a desire to do so herself.
although she did have instagram and tiktok, but those both only had a few thousand followers. just the right amount in her opinion.
rowan nodded as she pulled her hair up into a ponytail and rolled her sleeves up to wash her hands, molly doing the same.
