Chapter 3

Bethany's Pov

I made my way towards Christi and Chloe and I noticed that Kenneth wasn't there.

"Hey you're Bethany, right?" Chloe asked.

"Oh yes. I'm Bethany. Chloe and Christi?" I asked even though I know them.

"Yep. How's your flight, loves?" Christi asked as we made our way to their car.

"It was good. I met a boy. He's kinda famous, though." I said.

"Who's the boy?" Chloe asked.

"Carson Lueders. Do you know him?"

"Oh, Carson! Yes I know him. I actually met him at the Kids' Choice Awards." She said.

"Really? That's cool. I actually sat with him. He's okay." I said.

"You must be lucky then." She said.

"How come?" I asked.

"Because he has a lot of fans. Well not a lot but he has fans. I mean his fans were giving me death glares and I got scared because what if they're gonna attack me or something?" She said.

I laughed. "What did you do next?" I asked.

"Oh I just said bye to him. I don't want to hurt his fans."

"Well don't stop them from doing what you're doing. I mean it's your choice. Not theirs. And what's wrong with talking to Carson Lueders?" I asked.

"Right. Oh I'll just take your bag." She said.

"Oh okay thanks." I said then she took my bag and placed it at the trunk.

"Hey what's wrong? Get in the car. It won't bite." She laughed.

I noticed I was the only one that's not in the car.

"Oh right. Sorry."

"So, Bethany. How's California so far?" Christi asked while driving.

"Oh. Well it's nice and hot. I also saw a couple of huge swimming pools which is really cool."

She just laughed. "So how's your mom? Oh and we're really sorry that we couldn't come to Carl's funer-"

"Mom! Stop. You're just making her sad." Chloe interrupted. Oh so they were the ones that my mom was talking about. She said her best friend from California is going to come to the funeral but they couldn't come anymore because they were busy.

"No it's actually fine." I smiled. "But um mom's fine. She's trying really hard to get over the whole 'Carl situation' thing because he's safe now. And it's okay, really. I didn't even know that you were coming. I mean yeah I knew but I didn't expect 'Christi Lukasiak and Chloe Lukasiak' to come to the funeral." I chuckled.

They just laughed. "I didn't even know that you guys were my mom's friends. I mean I can't believe that she's friends with one of the Dance Moms." I said.

"You know about Dance Moms?" Chloe asked, excited.

"Yes. You're actually my favorite." I laughed.

"Eeeeee! Thank you!" She said and hugged me. I just laughed.

"Hey Bethany, do you want to go to McDonalds so you can eat something?" Christi asked.

Then my stomach made a weird noise and we just laughed.

"I'll take that as yes then." Christi smiled.

After a few minutes, we're already in McDonalds. We got out of the car and made our way towards the door entrance.
