Bethany's Pov

I walked towards where Kenneth is sitting and I decided to sit next to him.

"Uh- Are you... okay?" I asked. I seriously regret what Carson and I did.

He nodded. "Do you really love him?" No, but I love you.

I slowly nodded. "Wow. He must be a lucky guy then. He's-he's so lucky to have you." Kenneth said. His voice was breaking at the end.

"Well Alex is so lucky to have a boy like you." I said, trying not to let my tears fall. "You're funny, kind, friendly, caring... handsome." He smiled when I said handsome.

"See, you look handsome when you smile." I said, and he just laughed.

"We haven't really hung out for a while." He said. We were silent for a while and I got this really cool but stupid idea.

"We should ditch them." I said. "We'll just tell them that we went out."

Kenneth seemed surprised. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see. We're just gonna walk." While walking, I decided to text Chloe that Kenneth and I are going somewhere.

Bethany: Chloe, Kenneth and I are going somewhere. Sorry for ditching. Oops. Tell Matt and Dana best wishes for me and good luck. Oh and also tell Carson and the squad that we're going out. Thanks.

Chloe: Will do. and oooh. You're going out with Kenneth. Is it a date?

Bethany: Shut up and no it isn't. We're going somewhere. We'll just ride a taxi back home.

Chloe: Okay hon. Have fun! Not too much...

I just laughed at what she said. "What did she say?" Kenneth asked. I gave him my phone.

He chuckled. "I'm really happy that they're together again."

"Me too. I don't get why Ricky kissed Nicholle." I said. Well he said "I know your sister turns everyone on but you're the one I want" so maybe he liked Nicholle but he doesn't anymore.

"Yeah. If he'll hurt her again, I swear I'll break his legs." Kenneth said.

I smiled. "You're really a caring person. I'm glad I have a best friend like you."

He smiled weakly. "Me too."

When we're already at the place, I covered his eyes. "What's this?"

"Just keep walking." I said. We took 5 steps and I released my hands away from his eyes.

"Wow..." If you could only see his reaction, you'll definitely melt.

"The city is beautiful isn't it?" I asked.

"Yeah, just like you." He murmured. What?

"What?" I asked even though I barely heard him.

"Nothing. I mean yeah it's so beautiful. How did you find this place?" He asked.

"Oh um well when we were on our way here, I saw this place and I thought it would be cool to go here." I said.

"This is so cool, Bethy. You're a legend." He chuckled.

I smiled and bit my lip. "You know... I wished I got to know you more when we first met."

"The Skateboard Competition...We were very little that time." He said.
