"We're gonna be late hurry up!" Gabriel squeaked beginning to jog across the sidewalk clutching Romeo's hand in his own. Romeo sped up his pace smirking at his boyfriend playfully.

They were catching the train over to the Lake, the weekend had approached fast for them since Bubbles had passed and they'd tried the rage room. Gabriel had managed to get out the house more and cheer up a bit, but was still slightly subdued.

"We're gonna be fine! Don't worry Gabe!" Romeo insisted calmly glancing at his phone, they still had 3 minutes until the train arrived, and they were only a couple minutes away from the station.

Despite this as soon as they arrived the train horn began to blare. "Okay now we run" Romeo instructed Gabriel as their hands linked again speeding towards the train. Unlike in fantastical romcoms they wouldn't be able to leap from the platform to the train if it started moving, luckily the pair made it just in time, securing seats near the back of the fast moving vehicle.

The scenery sped by as they sat together, Gabriel had his sketchbook laid out on the table, his latest piece was beautiful, it was a waterfall cascading down a grassy mountain, a boy resembling Gabriel was sat beside the pool of water created by this waterfall staring into the sparkling water, however instead of his reflection staring back at him it was Bubbles. It truly was a masterpiece and it wasn't even done yet.

"How are you feeling hmm?" Romeo questioned playing with his boyfriends soft brown hair, he'd gotten it cut and styled the day before and it was now curly, it really suited him.

"I'm- I'm okay yeah" Gabriel answered shyly, glancing up from his sketchbook with a sweet smile. "Are you?"

"Of course" Romeo answered soothingly, for the rest of the train ride they talked lightly about whatever came to mind, it didn't matter. They were content watching the terrain zoom past whilst Gabriel delicately put pencil to paper crafting his perfect masterpiece.

Romeo still couldn't believe the portrait of himself Gabriel had drawn was so darn good. His boyfriends talent was immeasurable.

Finally they reached the station near the lake, they then took a short taxi ride before arriving at their destination.

The lake was just as beautiful as the previous week they'd been there, the water dazzled in the sunlight, the shrubbery swayed to the breeze whilst birds chirped their beautiful songs.

"I've missed this" Gabriel commented quietly stepping into the cabin they'd booked, it wasn't one of the ones that either of them had previously stayed in, instead it was a smaller one with just 1 bedroom. That was enough for both of them.

Once the pair had unpacked they immediately put their swimming trunks on and went for a swim. Romeo didn't even think twice about the fading scars that crisscrossed his wrists. He didn't need to think about those. Gabriel was all that mattered in that moment.

Shrieking in delight Gabriel plunged into the ice cold water, followed a second layer by Romeo. "It's so- so cold" Gabriel said loudly his eyes widening at the freezing temperature.

"Better get swimming then!" Romeo replied logically taking Gabriel's hand under the water and leading him further out into the lake. It was so absolutely peaceful. Just the two of them, floating along with the current. Taking in the cloudy blue sky, the sun that was shining down upon their bodies with its calming rays.

"This is... perfect, so perfect" Romeo whispered to Gabriel lifting his head out of the water to glance at the brunette. Gabriel smiled sweetly shaking the droplets of shiny liquid from his curly head.

"It is, I- I love you" He answered.

"Love you too Gabe" Romeo answered returning the warm smile before they fell back into silence, the only sounds being the chirping of birdsong, rustling of leaves and the lapping of water.

Romeo couldn't quite believe how far he'd come in such a short space of time. He's always thought life was unobtainable for him. That he'd just be a heartless player for the rest of his life with no one to call his own, he hadn't even wanted someone to be with.

Yet now he couldn't imagine his world without Gabriel in it, without the boys sweet, sing song giggles. His kind words, his perfect body, his smile. The smile that could light up any dark room, his astonishing blue eyes that could easily freeze hell over with just a mere glance.

In such a short, short space of time. Romeo had fallen head over heels for this boy. When he'd heard about love from stories or tv shows. It always seemed like such a long, drawn out thing.

Maybe the happy couple would share their first kiss after a month, start saying I love you after months. With Gabriel it was the complete opposite, the two had gone from being irritants to each other to being the reason each others hearts continued to beat. 4 weeks had changed Romeo's life forever.

"T-that cloud looks like a heart" Gabriel pointed out as they resurfaced onto the ever so familiar grassy bank.

Lying beside Gabriel and glancing up at the sky Romeo didn't see it at all. "It does yeah" he replied accepting Gabriel's delusional cloud heart.

Gabriel cuddled close to his toned boyfriend, their damp bodies pressed together sharing warmth. Romeo gazed down at his skinny boyfriend watching fondly as he got comfortable. He really knew how to curl into Romeo and make the blonde his whole bed, or at the very least his cushion.

They lay there in a comfortable silence as the sun began to sink lower into the horizon, as the light began to flicker away Gabriel spoke.

"Do- do you believe in soulmates?" He asks out of the blue, his grip tightening slightly on Romeo's hand, yet still being as soft as carpet.

Romeo thought carefully before replying, sinking in the last of the sunset as it vanished from view. "I didn't, hell. I didn't even believe in love before I met you, but now... yeah. I reckon I've found my soulmate"
