After spending two hours in her room, Lee Y/N decided to come out and check on Taehyung. She knew he had taken the day off from work, but his sudden disappearance from the house puzzled her.

She searched the house, checking his room first, but it was empty. The silence in the large mansion was unnerving. Finally, Y/N made her way out to the garden, hoping to find him there.

As she stepped into the garden, she spotted Taehyung sitting on the grass, his back turned to her. He was staring intently at something in his hand. As she got closer, she realized it was his phone, and on the screen was a picture of Elena. The pain and longing in his eyes were evident, even from a distance.

Y/N hesitated for a moment, feeling a pang of sympathy for him. She knew how much he loved Elena, and seeing him like this reminded her of the depth of his feelings. Gathering her courage, she took a step closer. "Taehyung..."

Taehyung snapped his head around at the sound of her voice, his expression instantly hardening. The anger that had simmered within him all morning flared up once more. "What do you want?" he spat, standing up quickly and shoving his phone into his pocket.

Y/N flinched at the harshness of his tone but tried to remain calm. "I was just looking for you. I was worried when I couldn't find you inside."

Taehyung's eyes narrowed, the anger in them barely contained. "Worried? About me? Don't pretend to care, Y/N. I know exactly what you're up to."

Y/N blinked, taken aback. "I'm not pretending, Taehyung. I know this is hard for you, and I—"

"Hard for me?" Taehyung interrupted, his voice rising. "Do you have any idea what I'm going through? The woman I love disappeared on our wedding day, and now I'm trapped in this mess with you. Every time I see you, I'm reminded of what I lost, of what you took from me!"

Y/N felt tears sting her eyes, but she refused to let them fall. "Taehyung, I didn't take anything from you. I'm just as confused and hurt as you are. I didn't want this either."

"Then why did you agree to this farce of a marriage?" Taehyung shot back, his voice cold and accusing. "If you really cared, you would have refused. You would have told everyone the truth instead of letting them force you into this."

Y/N shook her head, her voice trembling. "I didn't have a choice. I'm trying to do what's best for our families, for you. But you're so blinded by your anger that you can't see that."

Taehyung's face twisted in frustration, his hands clenching into fists at his sides. "Don't try to act noble, Y/N. I don't need your pity, and I certainly don't need you. Just stay out of my way."

With that, he turned his back on her, his shoulders tense with barely contained rage. Y/N watched him for a moment, her heart heavy with the weight of his words. She knew that Taehyung's anger was born out of pain, but it didn't make it any easier to bear.

Without another word, Y/N turned and walked back into the house, leaving Taehyung alone in the garden, still clutching the memories of a love that had slipped through his fingers.

Y/N sat on the edge of her bed, her thoughts still lingering on the painful exchange with Taehyung in the garden. She was lost in her own world, trying to make sense of everything that had happened. Just as she was about to get up and distract herself with something, her phone rang, breaking the silence.

She quickly reached for it, seeing Jimin's name flash on the screen. Her heart skipped a beat as she answered the call. "Jimin, did you find something?"

Jimin's voice came through, calm but serious. "Y/N, I've been looking into the situation, but I need more information to proceed. It's better if we talk in person. Can you come to my office?"
