Jimin glanced at the rearview mirror again, his brows furrowed in concern as he took in Taehyung's pale face and Y/N's tearful expression. Breaking the silence, he said firmly, "We need to get him to a hospital. He's losing too much blood."

Y/N's heart skipped a beat. She looked down at Taehyung, who seemed to be drifting in and out of consciousness, his head still resting on her lap. She shook her head quickly, panic clear in her voice. "No, we can't! What if Elena's men are watching the hospitals? They'll find us."

Jimin clenched the steering wheel tighter, clearly torn. "We don't have much of a choice, Y/N. Look at him. He won't last like this."

Taehyung's eyes flickered open slightly, his lips twitching into a faint smirk despite his obvious pain. "I'm... fine," he muttered weakly, his voice barely audible. "Don't... make a fuss..."

Y/N glared at him, her tears now flowing freely. "Shut up, Taehyung! You're not fine! Stop pretending to be some unbreakable hero." Her voice cracked as she tightened the makeshift bandage around his arm.

Jimin sighed, his jaw clenched as he made a sharp turn onto a quieter road. "Alright, if not a hospital, then we need to find a safe place. I know someone who can help—a private doctor I trust."

Y/N nodded, relief washing over her. "Yes, please... just hurry, Jimin."

Fifteen minutes later, they arrived at a discreet, small clinic on the outskirts of the city. Jimin parked the car and jumped out, quickly running to knock on the door. An older man, probably in his late fifties, opened it—a doctor with sharp eyes and a calm demeanor. Without wasting time, Jimin explained the situation.

Y/N helped Jimin carry Taehyung inside, her hands trembling as she refused to let go of him. The doctor guided them to a clean, dimly lit room and instructed them to lay Taehyung on the examination table.

"He'll be fine," the doctor said reassuringly as he began cleaning and stitching Taehyung's wound. "It's a deep cut, but it missed any vital arteries. He's lucky."

Y/N stood to the side, biting her lip as she watched the procedure. She felt a wave of relief but also guilt—guilt that he got hurt protecting her.

When the doctor finished bandaging Taehyung's arm, he turned to Y/N and Jimin. "He needs rest for the next few days. No stress, no physical exertion. Keep the wound clean, and make sure he eats properly."

Y/N nodded quickly, already making a mental list of what she needed to do to take care of him.

Back at the safe house later that night, Jimin helped Taehyung to his room. Y/N followed closely behind, ready to catch him if he stumbled. As they finally got him settled in bed, Jimin gave her a small smile. "I'll leave you to look after him. Call me if you need anything."

After Jimin left, Y/N sat by Taehyung's bedside, watching as he lay there with his eyes closed. She reached out hesitantly, brushing a strand of hair from his face. "You're so reckless," she whispered softly, her voice filled with both frustration and affection.

Taehyung's eyes slowly opened, and he smirked weakly. "Reckless... but worth it, right?"

Y/N felt her cheeks flush, but she didn't reply. Instead, she leaned closer and whispered, "Get some rest, Taehyung. I'll be right here if you need anything."

As he drifted off to sleep, a small, peaceful smile tugged at his lips—a rare sight that made Y/N's heart skip a beat.
