The next morning, the tension between Y/N and Taehyung seemed to have subsided slightly, but an underlying intensity remained. The night before had ended on a note of surprising warmth, but the unresolved feelings still lingered. Taehyung woke up first, already feeling conflicted about everything. He looked at Y/N sleeping peacefully beside him, her hair falling softly on her face, and for a brief moment, he felt a pang of guilt. But he pushed it aside, remembering the mess they were still in.
As he got up and headed to the bathroom, Y/N stirred awake. She stretched, remembering the strange turn their relationship had taken last night with the unexpected hug. She wasn't sure what to expect from Taehyung today, but she could feel that something had shifted, for better or worse.
After freshening up, Taehyung was downstairs, pacing. He had something on his mind but wasn't sure how to approach it. His phone buzzed. Elena. He grimaced but ignored it. Today, there was something else he wanted to focus on—Y/N.
Y/N came downstairs, rubbing her neck, slightly nervous about how the day would go. As soon as she entered the kitchen, Taehyung stood up, eyes locked on her. There was a tension in his posture, something unreadable behind his dark gaze.
"We need to talk," he said, his voice calm but firm. Y/N could sense the gravity in his tone, and it made her heart race.
"What is it?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady as she poured herself a cup of coffee. She could feel Taehyung's eyes boring into her.
Taehyung approached her, his presence dominating the room. He stepped closer until he was just inches away from her. The space between them felt thick with unspoken words.
"I don't know what the hell we're doing anymore," he began, his voice low, almost a growl. "But last night... that hug... it made me realize something."
Y/N looked up at him, confused, her heart pounding. "What do you mean?"
Suddenly, Taehyung reached out, his hand gripping her waist, pulling her toward him abruptly. The sudden proximity took her breath away.
"I don't know how to handle this. One minute, I hate you. The next, I..." he trailed off, his gaze flickering from her eyes to her lips. "I can't stop thinking about you."
Y/N felt her pulse quicken. His hand on her waist, the intensity in his eyes—it was overwhelming. "Taehyung..." she whispered, but before she could say anything else, he leaned in closer, his breath hot against her skin.
"Why do you always have this effect on me?" he muttered, his voice husky. "Every time I try to push you away, you pull me right back in."
Y/N's breath hitched as she felt the heat radiating from his body. Taehyung's hand slid from her waist to the small of her back, his grip tightening possessively.
"I shouldn't be feeling this way," he whispered, almost to himself, his lips brushing her ear. "But I do."
Before Y/N could respond, Taehyung's phone buzzed again, breaking the moment. This time, he didn't ignore it. He glanced at the screen—Jimin.
His face hardened instantly. The softness in his eyes disappeared, replaced by a flash of jealousy. He stepped back, releasing Y/N abruptly, the tension between them now thick with something darker.
"You're still talking to him?" Taehyung asked, his tone cold and accusatory.
Y/N, taken aback by the sudden change, stammered, **"I-I wasn't—"
