After freshening up,  Y/N decided to explore the house. She hoped that getting to know her new home would provide a sense of normalcy. Each room she entered was more impressive than the last, yet they all shared a cold, impersonal feel.

As she wandered through the expansive hallways, she marveled at the elegant decor and lavish furnishings. She was just about to step into another room when she accidentally bumped into Taehyung, who was coming from the opposite direction.

Taehyung's face darkened upon seeing her. His eyes, usually warm, were now filled with cold fury. "What are you doing here?" he demanded, his voice harsh.

Y/N took a step back, startled by the intensity of his anger. "I was just exploring the house. I didn't mean to—"

Taehyung cut her off, his tone icy. "I don't care what you were doing. Stay out of my way."

Y/N's heart sank. She had hoped that with time, things might improve between them, but his words and tone made it clear that he was not ready to forgive or forget. "Taehyung, I really didn't help Elena run away. I don't know why she did it, but I swear I had no part in it."

Taehyung's expression hardened even more. "Save your excuses, Y/N. The fact remains that she's gone, and I'm stuck in this mess because of you."

Y/N felt a lump form in her throat. "I'm telling you the truth."

Taehyung scoffed, his eyes blazing with anger. "The truth? The truth is that I loved Elena, and she abandoned me. Now, every time I see you, I'm reminded of her betrayal. You're nothing but a constant reminder of what I lost."

Y/N's eyes filled with tears, but she held them back, refusing to show weakness. "I understand that you're angry, but please, don't take it out on me. I'm trying to make the best of this situation."

Taehyung's jaw clenched. "Make the best of it? This is a nightmare, Y/N. And it's one I'll never forgive you for."

Without another word, he brushed past her, leaving her standing alone in the hallway. Y/N watched him go, feeling a mix of sadness and determination. She knew that winning his trust and respect would be an uphill battle, but she resolved not to let his anger break her spirit.

With a heavy heart, she continued her exploration of the house, now feeling even more acutely the coldness and isolation of her new life.

..........................................................................................................

Y/N closed the door to her bedroom, feeling the weight of the day pressing heavily on her shoulders. She walked over to the window, pulling back the curtains slightly to gaze at the dimming sky. The room, though elegant, felt cold and unwelcoming, much like the new life she found herself thrust into.

Sinking onto the edge of the bed, Y/N stared at her hands, trying to make sense of the chaos. Her thoughts drifted to her sister, Elena. The idea that Elena could have run away seemed impossible to her. Elena had always been reserved, never having had many friends, let alone a romantic interest significant enough to risk everything for. Y/N couldn't fathom her sister abandoning her life and responsibilities, especially given how much she had been looking forward to the wedding.

She sighed deeply, her mind racing. "Elena couldn't have just run away like that," she thought. "She's never been the type to do something so drastic. There must be another reason."

Her thoughts turned to Taehyung. Despite the anger and resentment he had towards her, she couldn't deny her own feelings. She had admired Taehyung for a long time, even before the chaos of the wedding. It was heartbreaking to think that the man she had once admired was now a source of pain and misunderstanding.
