Ariqa's quest: Origins of Maria

Chapter 8, part 1

Arbour's point of view

It was 26th December, year 14, a day after we had my sweet warrior's birthday, which she got a Go board game which is really complex but she smart enough to know how to play it, So that helps with her maturity and intelligence.

My sweet warrior has also gotten a white dress with beautiful decor, which made me and Katelin nervous, but Enshi assured us that she'll only use it for special occasions.

Enshi doesn't expect much. She claims that she only needs love from us and guidance whenever she feels alone. That's how we knew that what the headmaster Adam in the plains school said about Enshi somehow usually speaks the right thing, does the right things, and does so without causing any problems.

The headmaster was worried that Enshi might be too mature and that she could grow up prematurely. Enshi says that people do notice her maturity, and they either don't even bother with her or make friends with her because she helps them as well as her.

Today, Enshi went to her friends who were waiting for her to have a dungeon realm session, which Enshi would tell us about their dungeon realm session.

 This was pretty much like dungeons and dragons back in the summer of 1974, three years before I got to this world. At least they kept it PG, that's for sure.

So I spent the whole day working with lumber work, building alongside other members of the Freelance Guild, and maintaining my brother's rooftops  of the Lake Inn Tavern.

In case you're wondering, my brother, Trevor Lake Inn, came here during my sweet warrior's sixth birthday when he accidentally fell from the roof of our home as his spawn point, which he ended up getting a broken arm.

He worked with the Freelance Guild for five months before he used his talent as a bartender and chief to help open The Lake Inn Tavern, where he now works and lives there.

My brother did make some really stupid mistakes, such as cheating on his girlfriend before she told our parents and telling him not to return home begging for help. 

With that happened, he was homeless, and after another 5 months, he was so depressed that he attempted to commit suicide.

But from what the phoenix Kesshō told Trevor, I guess he was glad to be given a chance of redemption.

This was in the late afternoon when I finished the roof repairs and my brother paid me for my hard work.

Trevor: "Thanks, brother. If it wasn't for you, who knows what would have happened."

Me: "Well then, see you tomorrow?"

Trevor: "Well brother, the thing is... A 'special guest' is coming over tonight, and he's got talks for the freelance guild from the desert sultan Easifatan Sahra. So let your captain and family know."

I nodded to Trevor, "Don't worry, I will do."

Trevor: "Great! See you tonight."

Me: "See you tonight."

And with that, I let to let Sebun Seas and my family know what was happening...

Later, ay the Lake Inn Tavern...

Me, my wife, Katelin, my sweet warrior, Enshi, and captain Sebun arrived at the Lake Inn Tavern, where the 'special guest' was waiting alongside Trevor.

Trevor: "Nice to see you again."

Me: "You too, brother..." I looked at the special guest. He was suited messily, yet looked great too. "... And welcome to the Peaceful plains, the home of the Freelance Guild and Lake Inn Tavern."

'Special guest': "What a pleasure to meet you, Arbour, Katelin and Sebun."

'Special guest' looked over to see Enshi. He said to her, "Hello, what's your name?"

Enshi tapped me by the left hand and asked quietly, "Should I say my name? Because he's a stranger." I nodded.

She said her name,  "Enshi."

'Special guest' smiled nicely, "Well then, I'll be happy to discuss matters for tomorrow's trip to the desert bastion."

Sebun was confused.

Sebun: "Yar last time I went to the desert, it was just an empty patch of sand."

'Special guest': "Well, I guess you haven't heard of the legendary desert sultan Easifatan Sahra starting from a slave of the Viper Guild nation to running his own nation?"

Sebun nodded.

'Special guest': "Well, I'll tell you along the way to the desert bastion tomorrow, but for now, I'll be staying there. And it's Ok for Enshi to come because I heard rumours that you two -" 'Special guest' pointed at both Arbour and Katelin. "-Got privately married and had Enshi, which I can now confirm. Can't wait for tomorrow."

And with that, 'Special guest' left them alone for the night while Arbour, Katelin, Sebun, and Enshi gets ready for tomorrow's trip to the desert bastion...
