Off-duty Lowland knight's point of view

The day after secret chapter 3 and chapter 4...

Me and my fiancé were taking a honeymoon holiday into the wastelands, a rocky biome with beautiful cliffs with greenery at the top, hidden caves that were occupied by disgusting brown and pink spotted pigs called Hogs, and ruins of an ancient civilization that had collapsed to the all powerful enormity called the darkness.

It was the fifth day of our honeymoon, and my fiancé and I was discussing where to hold our wedding. Her name was Jessica Lumine, a long red-haired archer who also volunteers on Fridays in the jungle island for the Blue Cross foundation.

I am Oranji Chikara, a knight tasked to protect the royal family of the Lowland kingdom. I am usually found to be protecting Queen Maria Lowland, who recently became four months pregnant.

Jessica asked, "Where do we even find a beautifully natural place in Maria to get married to?"

I signed in sadness, "We just don't know where it is yet, but we will be able to find a beautiful place that's natural and stands out from the rest."

Jessica put her arm around my lower back where her hand was touching my left hip, and her facial looks were genuinely looking sorry for me.

Jessica Lumine: "Don't give up now. Nobody wants to see or hear that you gave up. Not with this potential marriage and what civilization has to offer in the past, present, and future."

I began to sob for a second.

Me: "You are right. We will never give up, even if any future threat or problem attempts to wipe us away."

So we kept walking where we spotted something shine for a second.

Me: "Huh? What was that?"

Jessica: I don't know at all. Some magic tricks and spells being practised or something like that?"

So we both went to the mysterious shine that appeared a moment, running towards it

So we both went to the mysterious shine that appeared a moment, running towards it. Appearing to us was a lone oak tree, where the shine came again.

"There it is!" Jessica said whilst rushing with adrenaline and excitement. "That came from the tree."

We continued running to the tree. There were more people around the tree, which hanging from the tree were... Jewellery?

"I don't get it." I said as we stopped to catch our breath. "Why are there... wolve ears and tails coming out from the people?"

Jessica took a few seconds to catch her breath before she looked at the people who were with pointed ears with tails.

Jessica: "So the tropical forest legend is true... Therians do exist in this world."

I couldn't understand what Jessica was saying.

Me: "The tropical forest? Therians?"

Jessica: "There was once a time where we were at war with the therians, and the Phoenix Lumine punished them with a huge thunderstorm that ended the war."

Me: "Ah! I see why."

We got to the tree where there were, in fact, therians looking at a tree with hanging jewellery.

There were five therian people. An elderly male baboon, a young adult male, is an English Cocker Spaniel therian, a tall female wolf therian, a red fox therian girl, and in the middle of the height difference, a female teenage reindeer therian.

Elderly male baboon therian: "So it was yesterday that you and Mejika found this mysterious tree?"

Red fox therian girl: "Yes Rafi! It was when Mejika was scouting for food that I joined to help."

Mejika: "Well... that was correct, because I asked Lizz's parents if she could come with me and they approved of it Rafi."

Male English Cocker Spaniel therian: "Who ever left behind jewellery and a miniature version of a magically powerful Eifel tower must be marking of a new beginning for Animanity in the known world."

I turned to Jessica Lumine.

Me: "Do you think that there are many people out there in the multiverse that will come and repopulate Maria to its former glory?"

Jessica: "There will be since the Phoenix order is planning to rapidly roll out new Animans just after two decades once basic infrastructure is in place in the wastelands."

Me: "You know. Since you help with the blue cross charity, maybe we can help those people and therians who may need a home to call home and places to work so basic infrastructure us installed faster than what the phoenix order anticipated."

Jessica was surprised by what I said.

Jessica: "So just like on how the Phoenix order was planning to remove the darkness that plagued mainland Maria in a thousand years, we are going to be like those hogs who mostly cleared up the darkness from mainland Maria in 30 years?"

Me: "Of course we can, if you want to..."

By then, we got up close and personal to the tree where the elderly male baboon therian, Rafi, introduced himself.

Rafi: "Why, good morning. The name's Rafi, what's your name?"

Me: "Oranji Chikara." Jessica: "Jessica Lumine."

Rafi pleasantly reacted politely.

Rafi: "Welcome to the wastelands..."
