Secret chapter 8

Victun's point of view

It has been 14 years and 11 months since I was retired from my robotic employer, and things didn't go so well.

I have been going out on dates, but none of those didn't have the results I needed for what I'll never have.

I really do miss Alynx since I wouldn't be able to have her as my wife, be able to have children with her. The job I was doing got more and more stressful.

Exactly one month ago, I was at home in the evening watching another show on Cityflix when I heard gunshots above me.

I investigate the apartment to see two men stealing from a sweet old transgender woman named Mrs Doubtfire who has been lonely without his wife, Miranda, hid brother Frank, and his three kids for 10 years due to a car accident involving a Cybertruck his wife was driving at the time and a Prototype SUV.

After the car accident, she went from Daniel Hillard to Mrs Doubtfire, So at the time of her death, I was in total shock so much that the thieves knocked me out with the arm of her now broken robot assistant.

That incident got me suspended for 6 weeks and was not allowed to leave Psychic City until my suspension was over, so I told them that I quit, which happened in a hospital.

Luckily, I didn't have to dip into my savings for three weeks since I needed to recover with treatment from the hospital. But for the last week, I tried to get another job, but they turned me down and now I was going to be living on my savings for another 2 weeks before I lose all of it and who knows what would happen then.

So I started to watch the beginning part of Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance most fowl when I got a call from my employer.

For some reason, the name of the caller said Rogue AI 2.

Maybe he decided to get himself a major update to himself? I thought to myself as I paused the show, answered the call, and transferred the call to my TV screen.

Rogue AI looked completely different, but he still has the same body shape, but now has two eye screens, now has Lexical Processing, a lighter grey coloured design, a big mouth, and more advanced weapons on its wings and main body.

And now he can properly talk, but only with a French tone tone, which he sounded like the character Hot rod from Transformers: The last knight.

Rogue AI 2: "So, how has been, Victun?"

I was taken aback by what he sounded like, which also made me laugh.

Rogue AI 2 was not impressed due to the Red Cross showing his veins, which he doesn't have since he's a robot, not an organism.

I chuckled out: "You really outdone yourself on this one, Rogue AI!"

Rogue AI grumbled, "Oh, how very funny. Well, one of my engineers thought that it would be funny to add this French accent as a joke. Luckily, I have spare voice boxes I can integrate with later."

I sarcastically said, "I bet you'll use one of spare voice boxes to sound like Mr Paradox from Deadpool and Wolverin-"

Rogue AI 2: "SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU SWINE!"

That shut me up!

Rogue AI 2 covered his mouth with an embarrassing look.

Rogue AI 2: "Whoops! Pardon my French, but I heard you quit your job, right?"

I sighed.

Me: "If I hadn't, then I would have been stuck there for another 11 days!"

Rogue AI 2 winked with his right hidden hand under flexing with a tight fist.

Rogue AI 2: "Which is why I want you to be back in the Guild. This time, you'll be working from a stall from a different Guild that we own to avoid suspicions. It will involve manning the stall 3 days a week, but the rest will be your speciality for who knows how many remaining days of the week."

I smiled. Since Alynx used to work for a Guild outside of Psychic City before she was killed, it would not only come to a full circle but also to be back to where I belonged.

Me: "Well... I may have been a good guy for too long. But now is my chance for us to make a cause to happen. The end of the Therians and a new beginning of Animanity. Can't wait to get back again."

Rogue AI 2: "Best you get to work tomorrow. I'll have your work uniform ready."

The call ended, and after I finished off watching on Cityflix, I packed up ready for tomorrow's trip
