Maleficent surveyed the room with a malicious grin, her eyes locking onto the Beast, who had frozen mid-roar at her sudden appearance. "So, you're the one causing all this noise," she said, her voice dripping with disdain. "Pathetic."
The Beast, seemingly unfazed by her insult, let out another roar, this time directed squarely at Maleficent. But instead of cowering, Maleficent merely raised an eyebrow, unimpressed.
"Do you think your roar intimidates me, you oversized furball?" she sneered. With a flick of her wrist, she sent a wave of green energy toward the Beast, who yelped and stumbled backward, shaking its massive head in confusion.
"Alright, I'll admit, that was kind of cool," Yoongi muttered from his new hiding spot behind the recliner.
"What are we going to do?" Jungkook whispered frantically to Namjoon from their spot in the bathroom. "We can't take on Maleficent and the Beast!"
"One problem at a time," Namjoon whispered back, trying to formulate a plan but coming up short. "Maybe we can just... wait it out? Let them tire each other out?"
The Beast, having recovered from Maleficent's spell, was now even more enraged. It charged at her, claws outstretched, but Maleficent was quicker. With another flick of her wrist, she conjured a wall of thorns that sprang up between them, stopping the Beast in its tracks.
"I don't have time to play with you," Maleficent said coolly, her eyes glowing with a dangerous light. "I have other matters to attend to."
With a wave of her staff, she sent a shockwave through the room, knocking the Beast off its feet and causing everyone else to cling to whatever furniture they could find to avoid being swept away by the force.
"Y/n, do you have any bright ideas?" Jin asked, his voice tinged with panic as he tried to keep the pantry door from being blown open by the wind.
"I'm working on it!" Y/n snapped back, her mind racing. "There's got to be something..."
But before she could come up with a plan, Maleficent turned her attention to the rest of the room, her gaze settling on the various hiding spots of the group.
"I know you're all here, cowering like the weaklings you are," she called out, her voice echoing ominously. "It's no use hiding from me. I can sense your fear."
"She's definitely talking about you, Jin," Yoongi whispered, peeking out from behind the recliner.
"Shut up!" Jin hissed back, his face going pale.
But Maleficent wasn't done. She took a step forward, her staff glowing brighter with each word. "I am Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil, and you will all bow before me, or suffer the consequences."
"I really don't want to bow," Hoseok whispered to Taehyung, who nodded in agreement. "Can't we just, like, trick her into leaving?"
Taehyung frowned, thinking. "Maybe if we make her think she's won, she'll go away?"
"And how exactly do we do that?" Y/n whispered back from her hiding spot, overhearing their conversation. "Just throw in the towel and hope she leaves?"
"Or we could try reasoning with her," Namjoon suggested quietly. "She's powerful, but maybe we can appeal to her ego? Flatter her, convince her she doesn't need to waste her time on us?"
"I'm not sure flattery is going to work on her," Jungkook said, doubt in his voice. "She seems pretty set on conquering everything."
Meanwhile, the Beast had regained its footing and was glaring at Maleficent with barely contained fury. But something had changed—the Beast was no longer charging blindly. It was watching her, studying her movements with a newfound intelligence.
