As the night wore on, the group tried to shake off the unsettling encounter with Morrigan. They continued their meal, sharing stories and jokes to lighten the mood. But the specter of chaos lingered, casting a shadow over their laughter.
Taehyung, though trying to stay present, found his thoughts drifting back to Morrigan's ominous warning. Every time someone laughed or made a joke, he couldn't help but wonder if this moment of peace was merely the calm before the storm.
Jungkook noticed Taehyung's distraction and nudged him. "Hey, you okay? You look like you're miles away."
Taehyung forced a smile and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just... a lot on my mind, you know?"
Jungkook gave him a knowing look. "Don't worry about it too much. We'll handle whatever comes our way. We always do."
Taehyung appreciated Jungkook's confidence, but the nagging feeling in his gut wouldn't go away. He just nodded again, not trusting himself to say anything more.
Across the table, Hoseok was in the middle of an animated story, waving his arms around as he described a particularly wild adventure he'd had back in the jungle. "—and then, out of nowhere, this giant snake just drops down from the tree right in front of me! I tell you, I've never run so fast in my life!"
Everyone burst out laughing, imagining the scene, and even Taehyung managed a genuine chuckle. Hoseok had a way of making everything sound like the most exciting thing in the world.
But the laughter was interrupted by a loud crash from the kitchen. Everyone froze, their eyes darting toward the door.
"What was that?" Y/n asked, her voice tense.
Jin, who had been helping himself to another serving, nearly dropped his plate in surprise. "I don't know, but it didn't sound good."
Before anyone could move, the door to the kitchen burst open, and a figure stumbled out, covered in flour and with a wild look in their eyes.
It was Doofenshmirtz from Phineas&Ferb.
"What in the world—?" Namjoon started, but he was cut off by Doofenshmirtz's frantic gestures.
"Help! Help me! There's something in the kitchen!" Doofenshmirtz cried, waving his arms around as if to ward off some invisible threat.
Jungkook stood up, his expression serious. "What are you talking about? What's in the kitchen?"
Doofenshmirtz pointed a trembling finger towards the door. "I don't know! It was big, and furry, and had these huge teeth! It chased me all around the kitchen!"
The group exchanged confused glances. "Big and furry with huge teeth?" Hoseok repeated, clearly baffled.
"Are you sure it wasn't just your imagination?" Y/n suggested, though she didn't sound entirely convinced.
"I'm telling you, it was real!" Doofenshmirtz insisted, his eyes wide with fear.
Before anyone could respond, the kitchen door creaked open again, and this time, a pair of glowing red eyes peered out from the darkness.
Everyone tensed, their gazes locked on the ominous sight.
"Okay, I believe him now," Jimin muttered, his hand instinctively reaching for a nearby chair to use as a weapon.
The door swung open fully, revealing a massive, hulking creature with matted fur and an oversized snout. It let out a low growl, baring its sharp teeth as it stalked toward the group.
"Is that... a werewolf?" Taehyung asked, his voice trembling slightly.
"It sure looks like one," Jin replied, backing away slowly. "And it doesn't look too friendly."
