𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 | Ninjago x Male Reader

E3: Weapons of Destiny

"Kai? Sensei? [Y/n]??" Cole called out running up to the Fire Temple with Jay and Zane at his back.

Zane stopped, removing his hood. "The Sword of Fire was here, as well our friends, but I only sense loss. We are too late, the elemental weapons have left this realm and are now in the Underworld. The end draws near."

"Ugh... great, the one place where no mortal can cross over." Cole kicks the door and drops to sit on the steps.

"We might not be able to cross over..."

Cole, Jay and Zane's eyes widened as the temple creaked and began to split down the middle and as the temple opened up the three went rigid in shock.

"But a dragon can!" Kai smiled from atop the red fire breathing beast with Nya behind him leaning back on [Y/n] like a backrest while [Y/n] was holding on for dear life.

"AAAAAHH!!" Cole immediately ducked for cover while Zane stood amused with a shaky Jay.

"Our father used to tell us stories about the dragons, that they were mythical creatures that belong to both worlds and borrowed between them." Nya told while [Y/n and Kai jumped down from it's back, [Y/n] much faster and eager to get off it.

Cole peeked out from behind his rock. "Are you insane!?"

Once he realised we were trying to protect the Sword of Fire, he actually became quite a softie." Kai explained before getting nuzzled by the beast. "Haha, knock it off."

However [Y/n] stepped away. "Some more than others." He pointed out, seeing the way the dragon sniffed and seemed to almost glare at him, clearly not liking what he smelt making Nya giggle.

"Droo rah rakk braa??" Jay croaked in random noises before Zane stepped forward as the resident translator. "He cannot talk, but he wants to know if you like blue?"

"It's my favorite colour." Nya smiled sweetly.

"Yes.." Jay fist pumped the air making Kai roll his eyes.

"Nya.." Kai spoke again more disheartened, calling her down from the dragon.

"This is goodbye, isn't it?" She already knew before he nodded. "Come back to me in one piece, okay? I don't wanna have to run the store on my own."

"I promise I won't be gone for long." He smiled.

"I'll keep a candle lit outside our shop until you return." She smiled back.

"Oh, and thank you for the rescue my knight in shining purple." Nya said, surprising [Y/n] leaving him frozen as he was hugged by the girl.

"Um, i-it's Magenta but.. you're welcome." [Y/n] moved one arm to gently pat her back, unsure on what to do in this position.

Jay and Zane followed Kai up onto the back of the Fire Dragon however Cole refused to leave the safety of his rock. "You guys go on ahead, there's not enough room for all of us on that...... thing." He said seemingly managing to offend the flying lizard.

"Although I'm not exactly on board with this plan, we do have a way around that." [Y/n] added.

"E-Easy.. not so fast!" Cole pleaded through closed eyes, not even facing where the Earth Dragon was flying.

"Cole please, you're the one who supposed to be flying! Also you're crushing my spine, jeez." [Y/n] whined as he clung to the saddle and tried to push Cole away who was currently clinging to him for dear life.

"Woah! This is awesome!!" Kai cheered as they soared through the clouds.

"Yes, this is quite fun." Zane agreed from the back of his Ice Dragon.
