"It hasn't stopped since we lost Lloyd, just a constant nagging in the back of my head." [Y/n] admitted as Wu cleaned his childhood katana.
"Hmm.. I see. It would seem your connection grows agitated by this separation, as do I..." Sensei Wu admitted too as he wrapped the blade in a red silk wrapping, [Y/n] eyed the man as he did so, acting with such care and caution with the seemingly basic and unimportant weapon.
"That.. isn't what's bothering you now, is it?" [Y/n] probed.
"Very observant [Y/n]. You are right, it is not." Wu returned yet didn't answer the underlying question.
"Then what is?" [Y/n] pushed more directly.
"I have been thinking on how best to deal with the Serpentine and with the tribes united and the sacred flute lost, what lines must be crossed to do so." Wu spoke with a foreboding undertone in his last line.
"What lines did you have in mind?" [Y/n] pushed for a direct answer but the older man let out a somber chuckle as his eyes fell back on his old sword.
"You need not be so worried my pupil, it is my burden to bare, in time you will have your time to prove yourself." Wu continued to speak in vagaries leaving [Y/n] more confused and slightly concerned.
"-well every morning I do 500 pushups." Zane's voice broke the silence from the hall before the door swung open.
"500? Ha, try a thousand." Kai bragged only followed by a smirk on Jay's lips.
"Haha, I do a thousand and one!" Cole scoffed at his remark as the four walked over to the other pair.
"What is this, amateur hour? Sounds like my warm-up. Sensei, what does true potential look like if-" [Y/n] cut him off with a dramatic cough before nodding towards Sensei Wu who remained sat staring at his childhood blade.
"Our apologies [Y/n], Sensei, we have interrupted you." Zane spoke as the group put their hands together and bowed their heads to Wu.
"I-I'm sorry if I have been distant lately, my mind has been elsewhere since Lloyd has gone missing. What can I help you with?" Wu explained himself as he placed his katana in it's case and looked out the window.
"Sensei, what if we've done enough training? What if we've reached our full potential? What if we're ready?" Cole pondered, eager to move to the next level whatever that may be. But Wu merely chuckled and turned around.
"Hm, you might have reached peak physical condition but you've yet to reach your inner potential, in each and every one of us there are obstacles that hold us back. Only when you conquer that fear will your heart be free, only then will you reach your true potential, only then will we have a fighting chance to stop the Serpentine from releasing the Great Devourer." Wu explained the true meaning of what they had yet to achieve.
"There's more to the Great Devourer than you've let on, isn't there Sensei." Zane added placing an assuring hand on his shoulder.
"I too have obstacles within my own heart, there's a story I've never told you.." Wu started.
