Lloyd strained as he clutched the light bulb in his hands tighter, his element allowing it to let off a faint glow as he tried to power it.
"Focus Lloyd, control the power inside you, when you feel a surge welling up. Harness it." Jay directed with some dramatic flare while the blonde nodded.
"I understand, I am in control..."
"Come on Lloyd, you can do it." Jay cheered him on as the boy shoot and strained violently, his vice like grip on the light bulb growing tighter as it glowed brighter and brighter till the bulb burst sending shards of glass to the floor.
"Ah! Stupid light bulb, you're putting too much pressure on me! Let me have one more try." Lloyd pleaded after his small outburst but Kai shook his head.
"Ah, sorry Lloyd, that was the last light bulb." Kai answered making Lloyd's green eyes look to the sea of shattered glass and metal remnants of the earlier light bulbs.
"Clean up Lloyd, we'll continue training tommorow." Cole spoke cheerfully as he handed off the broom but Lloyd was in no mood, snatching the broom in a fit of pique and stomping over to beat up a punching bag.
"What am I doing wrong Sensei Wu? I can't seem to teach him to control his power." Jay called for the older man's guidance as after a flurry of attacks, Lloyd swung the broom only to have ut bounce back into his face.
"You dare defy the green ninja!"
"Patience Jay, sometimes the greatest opponent we face is ourselves and that's especially true of Lloyd. Remember where he came from, he's the son of Lord Garmadon, it's going to take time for him to embrace the light." Wu instructed, reminding Jay of Lloyd's unique circumstances and upbringing as the blonde in question continued throwing his fit.
[Y/n] stood idly watching the scene, impatience etched onto his feature as he watched the scene. "You should be more strict with him, we can't call an end to training every time he gets annoyed."
"A good suggestion. However, one must know the difference between strict and harsh." Wu reminded in response.
Just then the dojo door slid open to reveal Nya. "Hey guys."
"Hey Nya." Everyone greeted back.
"Hey Jay, [Y/n], uh.. want to come by the auto body shop later?" She offered with a smile.
"The auto body shop?" Jay questioned.
"You have a shop?" [Y/n] added out of curiosity.
"Sort of, I got a part-time job. Thought I could fix the ultrasonic raider in my off time, maybe if you come over I can show you what I'm working on." She smiled looking between the two boys.
"Sure!" Jay jumped at the opportunity, the sudden shout startling [Y/n].
"And I'll pass, at the way training is going it's best I stick around here." [Y/n] joked quietly leaving Nya with a warm chuckle and a slight feeling of disappointment.
But [Y/n]'s eyes lowered to her hand, a letter held in her grasp. "What's that?"
"Oh um, this letter came for Lloyd." She reported before handing it over to Sensei Wu.
"Hm.. it's from Lloyd's old school." Wu informed as he scanned through the letter.
"The Darkley school for bad boys?" Cole walked over with the others.
"Formerly bad boys, since the last time we were there they've changed to the Darkley school for great children."
"Wait, they've turned good?" Kai chuckled in disbelief.
