S1 E10: The Green Ninja

"FII-YAAA~~!!" Kai cried out in song.

"Unlock fire! Fire go! Shoot flames!!" He commanded desperately as he jumped and spun around the room like an energetic monkey all while wearing the fabled green ninja Gi.

"Oh come on.. the others can do it so can you." He motivated himself before jumping to the floor doing push ups. "Bring heat!!"

"You have five seconds to explain yourself."

Kai jolted on the spot when after the warning he heard a group of giggles undoubtedly at his expense, he whipped around in panic finding [Y/n] stood by the doorway along with the other three in said doorway.

"Very nice, perhaps if you try the phrase 'fire DORK' it might work." Cole smirked at the flustered hot head.

"H-How long have you all been watching?" Kai panicked.

"The green ninja suit, that's awesome!" Jay oggled at the striking green Gi.

"Ahem." [Y/n] brought Kai's attention back to him quickly making him feel like a child caught red handed by their parent.

"W-Well I was looking for some kind of clue from Sensei and then I found this." He confessed albeit somewhat shyly and quiet in spots.

"Why exactly are you even in Sensei's room?" [Y/n] pushed.

"But you know only he who is foretold to face Lord Garmadon is destined to be the green ninja and only he should wear the green ninja outfit so Sensei will most likely be very-" Kai cut off Zane's continuation of the teasefest. "I know, I know, but I thought if I just tried it on it might help me see my true potential. It's not fair you three have unlocked your cool powers and I still haven't." Kai sulked while [Y/n] threw his hands up.

"I give up." He huffed to himself, this being the nth time Kai ignored the fact that he wasn't alone in not reaching his true potential yet.

"Besides Sensei's gone and we don't know when he's coming back-"

"Hello! I'm home!!" Wu's voice called out into the Bounty making all of their faces light up in joy, minus Kai who now faced a small panic attack.

"Finally.." [Y/n] let his head droop back as he sighed in relief.

"SENSEI!!" Cole, Jay and Zane called out and took off running while Kai fought to get the green Gi off. [Y/n] shook his head and walked out giving the red ninja some privacy and meeting up with the other three and Nya and of course thankfully Sensei Wu.

"It's so good to be home." Wu sighed in content.

"And it's good to have you back." [Y/n] added cautiously, eyes darting around slightly, he knew the only reason he'd be back. Zane noticed and stepped forward placing a hand on [Y/n]'s shoulder.

"Glad you're home." He smiled to Sensei.

"Did you bring us anything?" Cole waited eagerly.

"Oh Sensei, have you missed a lot! Zane's a nindroid, Nya is the mysterious samurai and Cole is a dancer." Jay explained like a excited kid while the older man stared a tad lost.

"Zane's a what??"

"You've been gone awhile but you should know all of us except for Kai and [Y/n] have reached our true potential." Zane reported in like the golden boy he was.

"Have you now? Where is Kai?" Perfectly time the sound of exasperated breaths made their way over along with heavy footsteps and finally Kai arrived coming to a stop.

"I'm.. right here, so glad you're back safe." Kai he smiled between heavy breaths.

All of a sudden all attention was on Sensei or specifically whatever was behind him as four dark arms announced themselves, however the group didn't have to wonder long as Garmadon jumped out showing himself.
