Clarissa Cooper
"WHAT THE HELL IS SECRETS AND SINS?" JUGHEAD ASKED, LEANING AGAINST
the window, far from where I stood.
"It's a twisted version of Truth or Dare, where we confront our truths head-on," Cheryl explained. "Let's kick things off with Veronica Lodge."
"Naturally," Veronica replied dryly.
"Let's start with the day you and your mob-connected mother arrived in town for a 'fresh start.' What's so fresh about sneaking around with Archie Andrews in a closet?" Cheryl prodded.
"That was your doing," Veronica shot back.
"Moving on to dear Daddy Lodge... Isn't it true he illegally bought the drive-in land from prison? What other schemes is he cooking up from behind bars?" Cheryl continued, undeterred.
"I can't speak for my father," Veronica deflected, "but I do know someone with a dark secret—Cheryl, murdering her own brother."
Gasps filled the room as Cheryl defended herself, "Everyone knows how much I loved Jason."
"But did you love him in ways that weren't sisterly?" Veronica pushed. "And when he chose Polly over you, you shot him with one of your father's hunting rifles."
"Veronica," I whispered, appalled at her line of questioning.
"This is riveting," Kevin murmured beside me. "I can't breathe."
"This game is sick. I wanna go next," Dilton Doiley interjected eagerly.
"That's the spirit, Doiley. What secrets do you have?" Chuck asked.
"I saw Ms. Grundy's car by Sweetwater River the day Jason went missing. I told Clary and Jughead, and then Ms. Grundy quit and left Riverdale," Dilton revealed, glancing nervously at Archie.
"And let's not forget Archie was also at Sweetwater that morning. Weeks later, Clarissa Cooper was on a rampage through town, and somehow ended up with Archie's best friend," Dilton added, raising eyebrows.
"Okay, that's none of your business, Dilton," Jughead snapped.
"Oh my God, color me shocked, Archie Andrews. Is that why your music career tanked overnight? Because you were hooking up with Ms. Grundy?" Cheryl taunted.
"Don't say anything, Archie. Don't stoop to their level," I whispered urgently.
"Wait, what? Andrews was with a teacher?" Chuck exclaimed. "Well damn, wish I knew earlier. I would've added you two to my conquest list."
"Classy, Chuck," Veronica remarked sarcastically.
"Wait a second, that explains why Archie can't keep a girlfriend. Serious mommy issues, huh? Care to explain, Arch?" Cheryl dug deeper.
"Dilton Doiley plays with guns," Betty interjected.
"Big whoop, Betty. Everyone knows Doiley's a bit off," Cheryl dismissed.
As tensions rose and secrets spilled, the room grew heavier with each revelation, casting a shadow over us all.
"Well, I guess it's my turn now," Chuck announced, stepping into the spotlight.
"Leave them alone, Chuck," Archie interjected firmly.
"Shut up, Andrews. You don't know them," Chuck shot back. "Hell, Betty doesn't even know herself. Everybody knows why I got suspended. But what you don't know..." Chuck paused dramatically, eyes scanning the room.
"She dressed up like a hooker, in a God-awful black wig, drugged me, handcuffed me in the Jacuzzi, and nearly drowned me until she got what she wanted to hear. She even started believing she was Polly," Chuck continued with a sneer, directing his venom at me. "But hey, like sister, like sister, I guess."
The room fell into stunned silence as Chuck's accusation hung in the air, leaving a bitter taste in everyone's mouth.
"What are you talking about, Chuck?" Veronica demanded, her voice sharp with concern.
"Clary here," Chuck sneered, "pretends to be better than everyone else, but she's still a tease who spent the summer jumping from guy to guy, even coming after me. We had our moments, didn't we, Jughead?"
Chuck's accusation hung heavily in the air, casting a shadow over the room as everyone awaited Jughead's response.
