The next morning, Isabella woke up and saw she had a voice message from Kelsey.

Good morning beautiful! I know today is your last day, and your nerves are probably going to get worse as you get closer to performing. Remember to have fun. That's important. Even if you don't get a gold medal today, you're still a gold medalist in my book. But don't be focused on the medal. Be focused on Sergio to make sure he's doing well, and be focused on yourself to make sure you're taking deep breaths when you need to and also having the time of your life. You're going to do great today and keep smiling that beautiful smile of yours!

Isabella smiled and responded with her own voice message.

Thanks love. I will do my best today. I'm sorry if I won't be able to make it to your game. But I know you'll do great today. You're a beast on the court. I can't wait to see you tonight!

Isabella hit send and did her hair and minimal makeup before putting on a comfortable outfit and going to the dining hall. She got her usual fruit, dairy free yogurt, and oat milk latte. As she was scrolling through her phone, she noticed someone sit in front of her. She looked up and saw Ilona Maher.

"I'm so sorry if it's weird that I just sat here. I just needed somewhere to sit." Ilona said.

"It's okay. It's not weird at all." Isabella said. They get to talking and quickly become basically best friends. They even made a Tik Tok together on Ilona's account. Isabella gave Ilona her number, and Ilona sent her the video. Before long, Isabella had to go back to her room to fully get ready for the day. She just needed to put on her competition outfit and get everything she needed into her bag. The equestrian team was going to the stables early so they can get some chores done and spend time with their horses before the pre-check over of the horses and all of that.

The team gets on the bus, and they begin their journey to Versailles. Isabella listened to music to keep her mind off of the competition. But as they were about five minutes out, the nerves set in, and she was going to throw up. She did her best to hold it back until they got to the stables. She was successful, but once they arrived, she rushed off the bus and threw up in a nearby trash can. "You okay?" Boyd asked.

"Yeah. Just nervous." Isabella said.

"Do you need some water?" he asked.

"No, I'm good." Isabella said. They walked to the stables, and Isabella began her chores. About 30 minutes later as she was brushing Sergio, she started to get extremely lightheaded, her hands were shaking, and she started to get tunnel vision. Then she remembered that she wasn't able to eat her breakfast.

"Hey Liz, do you have any granola bars or anything like that?" Isabella asked.

"No, I'm sorry." Liz said.

"It's okay. Can you get medical?" Isabella asked.

"Why?" Liz asked. Just as she said that, Isabella passed out. Liz rushed over to her before telling Boyd to get the medical team. He ran to get one.

"What happened?" one of the trainers asked as she rushed over to Isabella.

"I don't think she ate this morning." Liz said. Just as Liz saw the medical team running towards them, Isabella woke up.

"What happened?" Isabella asked.

"You passed out. Did you eat this morning?" Liz asked.

"No. I was about to, but then Ilona Maher sat across from me. We talked and filmed a Tik Tok before I had to get back to the room." Isabella explained. She started getting really hot, so the medical team had her stay laying down, and they placed a wet towel on her forehead.
