~September 11th~
It is the day that Las Vegas plays Indiana, and Isabella is so excited to go. She likes both teams, but since Kelsey plays for Las Vegas, that's who she's rooting for. She was wearing Kelsey's jersey she had purchased before she even met Kelsey. Unfortunately she couldn't get a seat close to the court. She was sitting up in the balcony, but it was still a fun, high energy game. The Aces won by three points, so Isabella was happy for that.
After the game, Caitlin had messaged Isabella to go to the court so a guard can take her to the locker room to meet the players. Isabella did as told, and an officer took her to the locker room. "There you are! It's so nice to finally meet you!" Caitlin said and ran to Isabella. Isabella was freaking out that she's meeting Caitlin Clark, but she managed to hold in 70% of her excitement. She didn't want to scare her away.
"It's great to meet you too!" Isabella said. The other players on the team walked over and one-by-one took pictures with her. They were all excited to meet her, and they, of course, asked how she and Kelsey were doing. After talking to them for about 10 minutes, they had to go to do their press conference. Isabella left and messaged Kelsey asking if she wanted to meet up somewhere since the team was staying in Indianapolis until Saturday. Kelsey told her she did want to and to meet her at the hotel they're staying at. She sent the address of it and that they'll be there in about 20 minutes. Isabella walked to the parking garage she had parked in and drove to the hotel parking lot. She waited in her car for the bus to arrive. When it did, she got out and ran to Kelsey once she saw her. She jumped into Kelsey's arms, and Kelsey spun her around.
"I'm so happy you made it!" Kelsey said as she sat her back down on her feet.
"I wouldn't miss it! Though I do have to miss Fridays game because I work both jobs both days and couldn't get both today and Friday off." Isabella said.
"It's okay. I'm just glad you were able to make it to one. Let me put my bag in my room, and I'll be back." Kelsey said. Isabella waited in the lobby of the hotel, and five minutes later Kelsey was back. They went to Isabella's car, and they drove around just talking. Isabella wanted to get a coffee, but there wasn't a coffee shop open since it was after 10. She didn't want to go to McDonald's because she is a huge coffee snob and knows it will not be good.
"I kinda like just driving around and talking." Isabella said.
"Me too. When you decide to move to Vegas, we should do this more often." Kelsey said.
"Most definitely. But I call being passenger princess." Isabella said with a smile.
"Oh come on. You're so cute when you get road rage." Kelsey said with a chuckle.
"At least for the first few times. You know Vegas a lot better than I do." Isabella said.
"Okay I can handle that." Kelsey said. They talked more as Isabella drove back to Kelsey's hotel since she had to be back by 11. When they got back to the parking lot, they had five minutes before Kelsey needed to be in her room.
"Goodbyes aren't going to get any easier, will they?" Isabella asked after she and Kelsey got out.
"They won't," Kelsey said as she hugged Isabella. They hugged each other for a minute just enjoying being in each others arms. They both shed some tears. Kelsey kissed Isabella, and after pulling away, she looked into her eyes and knew that it was the moment. "I love you." Isabella smiled and responded.
"I love you too." They kissed one more time before pulling away.
"Please be safe. I'll text you in two and half hours to make sure you got home okay." Kelsey said.
