Isabella wakes up with a jolt. She was having a nightmare, and after waking up, she started hyperventilating. "Hey, hey, hey, it's okay. It's okay. I'm here." Kelsey said softly as she wrapped her arms around Isabella and held her close. Isabella started crying while hyperventilating, but she listened to Kelsey's voice and soon calmed down.
"I'm sorry." Isabella said.
"It's okay. Want to talk about it?" Kelsey asked.
"I was in the woods looking for Caspian, and then I started being chased. I fell into a well, and then the tall man came out from the shadows, and that's when I woke up." Isabella said.
"Tall man?" Kelsey asked.
"It's from Criminal Minds. It's basically like slender man if I remember correctly." Isabella said.
"That sounds scary." Kelsey said.
"It felt so real." Isabella said.
"Well, I have some good news. Lauren called while you were sleeping. She said that Zaida had a blockage in her intestines that needed to be removed immediately. She underwent surgery and did well. She's just resting right now and will be able to go home soon. There's no news on Caspian, but I have hope that he will be found." Kelsey said.
"I'm glad she's okay. She was my first ever cat, so it would be extra hard on me if she passed away so soon." Isabella said.
"That's understandable. Why don't we get ready for the day and do something fun to take you mind off of them for a little bit?" Kelsey suggested.
"What time is it?" Isabella asked.
"It's almost seven in the morning." Kelsey said.
"Oh. I'm sorry for falling asleep. Did they go back to you hotel?" Isabella asked.
"It's okay. You don't need to apologize. And they did. I said I'd stay with you." Kelsey said.
"Won't you get in trouble for not being in your room?" Isabella asked.
"Not if they cover for me." Kelsey said.
"Kels..... You didn't have to stay with me, you know." Isabella said.
"I know. I wanted to. It's a good thing I did, too." Kelsey said.
"I really appreciate you." Isabella said and hugged Kelsey.
"And I really like you." Kelsey said, which caused Isabella to smile.
"I don't want to get up. I just want to stay here all day." Isabella groaned.
"Me too. But I have practice in a couple hours, and you have horses to tend to." Kelsey said.
"I know," Isabella said. She sighed before getting up. As she was about to enter the bathroom, she stubbed her toe on the corner of the wall. "Mierda!" Isabella cried out. She began cursing even more in Spanish while her head was resting against the wall while holding her foot.
"Are you okay?!" Kelsey asked with worry.
"I'm fine." Isabella said through gritted teeth.
"Not to worry you, but your toe is starting to bruise." Kelsey said.
"It's nothing but a scratch." Isabella said through her tears.
"I think you may have done more than just scratch your toe. Do you want to go to urgent care or the hospital? Whichever one they have?" Kelsey asked.
"I don't want another hospital bill." Isabella said.
"Babes we're in France. They have free healthcare. I think it applies to visitors too." Kelsey said.
