Saturday afternoon~

More than a week has passed since Jimin successfully completed the Autumn project. The team gets relatively free after that scale of a project. Since he doesn't have much work on his shoulders, today he lies comfortably in bed, reading one of the books he got a few months ago but didn't have time to read.

Jimin tries to concentrate on what's in front, but his phone that sits nicely at the desk by the bed keeps winning his attention. Once the notification sound rings, he rushes to see what's up. He never knew that the absence of someone is as important as their presence.

Jungkook hasn't called the entire day. Jimin called him earlier in the morning, but all the calls went straight to voicemail. Last night when he called, Jungkook also didn't answer. Instead, Jungkook replied with a text stating that he hasn't flown back yet.

Jimin tries not to overthink, but he still finds it odd. Regardless of how far or long Jungkook goes away for work, he manages to call on a daily basis. Jungkook is the one who insists that they hear each other's voice every day. He also sends selfies to keep his promise of showing his face every day.

Jimin opens the text messages that he last exchanged with Jungkook. He scrolls up to view the selfie Jungkook sent last night. This is probably the hundredth time that Jimin looks at it. Jungkook doesn't look well in the picture. He looks haggard.

Jimin can't help but worry. He has been with Jungkook every day for long enough to know that the grim, handsome man tends to overlook his health and neglects sickness.

One time, Jimin got mad because Jungkook wouldn't go to the hospital even though he had extreme headaches. In the middle of that date, Jimin ended up driving them home in the Mercedes Benz. Seeing that Jimin is mad silent, Jungkook compromised and said he'll go to a pharmacy nearby and take some medicine. Jimin immediately drove to the nearest pharmacy.

After much contemplation, Jimin decides to call Jungkook once more. The line rings on for quite a while before it is finally picked up.

". . . Jimin," a raspy voice answers.

"Jungkook! What's wrong?!" With that kind of voice, Jimin infers that the person on the line either just woke up or he's ill as assumed.

"Nothing's wrong. Just a cold." He clears his throat.

"You don't sound well at all!"

"I'll text my condo address. Same unit. Bring food. Hurry." Jungkook abruptly ends the call.

Even when he's not well, he still manages to boss Jimin around. If he's sick, why didn't he say so last night? On the call, he didn't even give the chance for Jimin to berate him. And since when is Jimin a food delivery service?

His head complains but his heart has already arrived at Jungkook. He tidies himself and hurries out of his room to an abrupt stop.

"What's the rush, Jiminah?" Cha Jiwon asks with eyebrows raised at his nephew's action.

"Oh umm, my friend's sick. I need to go see him. I also need to borrow the car." Jimin grabs the car keys off the counter before his uncle can even say anything. Off he goes, running out the backdoor.

Jimin's Uncle shakes his head and smiles at his nephew's unusual behavior.

Jimin seems happy these days. He seems to be living his life, not just focusing on his uncle or dwells on nightmares. Often, Jimin would smile at his phone. Some nights when Jiwon wakes up to use the bathroom, he can hear chatter from Jimin's room. If he doesn't know his nephew any better, he might assume Jimin is in love.
