Police Station.
Countless hours have gone by, and Jungkook begins to contemplate if he made the wrong decision of walking into the station. Perhaps, he should've just buried it. But he can't bring himself to do so.
How will Jimin look at him if he does that? Plus, he didn't do anything wrong. He has nothing to fear.
Calmly, or so he tries to appear, he sits on the cold, gray jail cell floor. His elbows on his knees as his hands hold together against his forehead, his eyes closed.
The second he senses a presence, he opens his eyes. He glances up and sees the person he wants to see. That one precious person he wants to cherish and take care of, but how come he appears... sad.
"Jimin!" Jungkook springs up and urgently strides toward him, his bleak, anxious face lights up.
On the contrary, Jimin's gaze lowers to Jungkook's black button shirt that is partially tainted with blood.
Jungkook, noticing where Jimin is staring, attempts to console him.
"Jimin, don't worry. I'm fine. I can understand you're shocked right now, but everything's going to be alright. I can explain." With a faint smile, he reaches his hand out through the bars to hold Jimin's hand. Unlike usual, this time Jimin's hand feels as cold as his own.
"I don't think everything will be alright," Jimin says with his gaze lowered. A teardrop silently slides down his cheek. "I don't even know if my uncle will make it."
Upon seeing the other person's tears, anguish enters Jungkook's heart. His hand reaches out to wipe Jimin's tears, but the beautiful person takes a step back, and thus, Jungkook's cold hand freezes between the metal bars.
Jimin fixates his watery eyes on Jungkook, telling him, "I came to say goodbye."
"Huhh?"
Calmly, Jimin wipes the tears on his cheeks, then sternly he says, "Jungkook, let's end our relationship here."
"Why... are you?" Jungkook's brain stutters, and his heart begins to pound.
Unlike the other times Jimin makes his heart pound, this time it's pounding so fearfully and painfully. Once again, he questions if he's hearing things correctly.
Jimin lets out a big breath, eyes lowering down to the ground.
"My uncle's nearly dead because of you. I can't be with you." Another teardrop rolls down his cheek."Jimin." Jungkook tries to capture the other person's eyes, once he does, he reveals, "I didn't shoot your uncle."
"So, he shoots himself?" Jimin asks. "Why would he do that?"
And Jungkook's calm voice cracks. "To k-keep me from you because he doesn't want me to be with you?" His eyebrows knit together, and his eyes continue to glisten, his chin trembling.
Despite his horribly, shaking heart, Jungkook firmly states, "I don't know why he did it, but I did not shoot him."
Cha Jiwon pointed the gun at Jungkook but when he pulled the trigger, he shot himself. The scene was so familiar to Jungkook that everything turned black. He felt like vomiting, and his mind went blank.
Jimin deviates his gaze down again. "It doesn't change the fact that he doesn't want me to be with you."
"Jimin, look at me. What's wrong? I know you will never break up with me just because your uncle doesn't like me."
"Then you don't know me well enough," Jimin replies softly.
"Jungkook, you come with too much baggage. You never told me you killed people." A sad expression appears on his face, the saddest Jungkook has seen yet.
