In the evening...

Two persons, both dressed up in full suits, stand outside of a ballroom near the entryway. One fidgets back and forth, whereas the other one has his gaze on the floor. He leans against the wall. The back of his shoe kicks lightly on the wall.

"Jimin hyung, can't we go in first?" Soobin asks, staring at the person with his head down.

"Jungkook is not here yet." Jimin tilts his face up to look at Soobin.

"Let's go wait in there and get something to eat or drink in the meantime."

"You can go in first. I'm waiting here," Jimin insists.

"Alright. When you come in, just look for me wherever the desserts and drinks are."

Jimin hums a mnn, then the tall figure disappears into the gigantic ballroom.

The handsomely suited Jimin stands at the same spot, leaning on the wall, glancing up, studying the design of this corridor.

Dragon patterns spread across the ceiling, expressing dominance and supremacy. Such refined lines require great delicacy from the artists. As he studies the art, countless people pass by, and so does time.

"Why are you here?" a familiar voice asks.

Jimin instantly looks to his left. "Jungkook." He adjusts his stance, backing off from the wall. He smiles radiantly like a sunflower, gazing at the one he's been waiting for.

Seeing Jungkook's stern gaze at him, he answers the question posed just now, "Well... Soobin wanted someone to come with him. Yuna can't since she must watch Sooha. Did you—"

Jungkook turns away and marches into the ballroom before Jimin can attempt a conversation. He goes straight to a table reserved for VIPs. As a result, Jimin who can't go any closer watches Jungkook settle down from a far distance.

With nowhere else to go, Jimin searches around the crowd to find Soobin, and as expected, Soobin is by the drinks and desserts.

"Soobin." Jimin nudges the other person's arm.

"Oh, so, Mr. Jeon has arrived." The relaxed guy now has a mouthful of a mixture of whatever there is in his mouth.

"Yeah, he went to his elite table that I can't go anywhere near."

"Well, part of your goal is accomplished. You showed your face!" Soobin exclaims energetically. He grabs one of the drinks from the table and sips it. "Hyung, you see that beautiful lady in the velvet dress?"

Jimin takes a gander and then instantly glares at Soobin. "You're married, why are you checking out ladies? Just because your wife is not here does not mean you—"

"No! No! No! I'm not that low of a person. That's Irene. This one, she's for Mr. Jeon."

For Jungkook?

Jimin pauses for a few seconds. Then he takes another look at the lady in the velvet dress, who's smiling elegantly to the associates she's conversing with. Once her eyes land on Jungkook, she excuses herself from the circle and walks to the seat by his side.

"I heard they knew each other since their university days, but she went abroad and only came back this past year and a half. Her dad has his eyes set on Mr. Jeon as his son-in-law. Gossip says she stays at his condo from time to time."

Condo?

Is it the same condo I was at five years ago?

"What do you think happens when she's at his place?" Soobin asks, feeding gossip into Jimin's head.
