“So..” Sam started, “Let me get this straight. You’re telling me that we just falsely put two people in prison, and that the real villain helped us?”
“Yes!” Tommy shouted. Sam just stared at the two as if they were idiots.
“Sam please.” Toby said. “We need your help with this.”
“Okay. I’ll interrogate Mark.” Sam sighed, leaning back in his chair.
“Thank you Sam.” Toby sighed, leaving the office and dragging Tommy with him.

“You needed me for the investigation?” Mark asked, walking in.
“Take a seat.” Sam gestured to the seat across from him.
“What’s this about?” Mark sat down, his hands in his lap. “Why’d you call me in on such short notice?”
“Mark. We’re friends, correct?”
“Well I’d say so.”
“And you wouldn't lie to me, right?” Mark was starting to get a little nervous. He wasn’t caught, right?
“I wouldn’t lie to you Sam.” Mark said, starting to fidget.
“Okay. Because Toby and Tommy came to me earlier with quite the accusation.” Sam let out a small chuckle.
“Oh? What did they say?” Shit. Mark was most definitely caught. They had to be ready to act if needed, his hand resting on a syringe in their pocket.
“We both are aware Clay wasn’t our villain.”
“Yeah I’m aware.”
“Well,” Sam started, leaning forward. “Toby and Tommy claim you are our villain.”
“Me?” Mark instantly tensed up. He couldn’t fail now. Hell no.
“Yes they said it was you.” Sam said. Mark began to pull out the syringe, prepared to attack. “However,” Sam started again. “They showed and gave no evidence.”
“Ah.” Mark sighed, putting the needle back and letting go of it. “Now why would they say that?”
“I have no idea. Did you three maybe.. Get into a fight?” Sam asked.
“No not one I know of.. They did stop talking to me though.”
“Ah. I see. Well, sorry for wasting your time Mark. Have a great day.”
“You too!” Mark said, waving and leaving the office. Wow. He didn’t even have to lie. Sam already trusted it wasn’t him. Damn would this be easy.

Tommy and Toby were called back to Sam’s office. Before either of them could say anything Sam stood up. “Now why the hell would either of you lie to me?” He shouted, clearly upset.
“Lie? About what?” Toby asked, confused. Tommy already knew Mark lied his way out of this, but he wanted to hear what Sam had to say.
“About Mark.” Sam hissed. “Why the hell would you lie and say they’re who you’re after?”
“Lie? Lie?? You think we lied?” Toby asked, shocked.
“Of course he does.” Tommy said, rolling his eyes. “Him and Mark are friends. And if Mark could fool us for so long, he could fool Sam.”
“He wasn’t fooling-” Sam started, before being cut off.
“Let’s just go Toby.” Tommy muttered, leaving the office and dragging Toby behind.
“Unbelievable.” Sam whispered, sitting back in his chair.
