Mark was close to getting caught. Too close. Too close to continue alone. He needed help. Thank god he knew where to go. Sure, Dream couldn’t help them, but he knew someone else.
He made his way to a decently large city, walking around. They needed to find the casino here. That’s where he could for sure find who he was looking for. Luckily, it was right there. Mark walked in, scanning the place before his gaze fell on a table with just one person.
“What’re you doing sitting here alone, Alex?” Mark asked, sitting down. Alex looked up, smiling at the sight of Mark.
“There you are Mark! Jeez it’s been so long amigo.” Alex got up, pulling Mark into a hug. “Where’ve you been?”
“Covering up for myself. Doing some side work. The usual.” Mark shrugged. “So what’ve you been up to?”
“Eh. Not much. Just doing what I usually do. Got a few more souls though.” Alex grinned, spreading a few cards in his hand, each decorated as a different person.
“Oh nice! Each lose a game?”
“Like the idiots they are.” He chuckled. “So, what brings you around? Tryna play against me?” Alex smirked, shuffling a deck of cards.
“Absolutely not.” Mark laughed.
“Worth a shot.”
“I need some help. Tubbo and Innit caught me.”
“Oh?” Alex shifted, sitting straight now. “How’d they do that?”
“Went searching without me. Caught me in the middle of working.”
“I see.. Have they tried anything yet?”
“They went to Sam.”
“Oh shit.” Alex went still. “You’re gonna need help. Have you gotten Dream yet?”
“About that..” Mark started, chuckling nervously.
“Did the fucker get caught?”
“To cover for me, yeah.”
“Ah. So I’m assuming you need my help, huh?”
“Yes please.”
“Alright. How can I help?” Alex sighed.
“The souls. Those cards. What can you do with those?”
“Basically what Dream could. They’re like puppets. I can use their souls to my advantage. Sadly not the actual people, but you know. Can’t be able to do everything.” Alex chuckled.
“Okay. That could help.” Mark paused to think, before getting an idea. “I know Alex has a few friends to help, but does Quackity?”
“Don’t refer to me as two different people imbécil. But no. As Quackity, I work alone.”
“Why don’t we change that?” Ranboo suggested.
