if your gem is male that's fine an ok and i dont mind at all.
Gems canonically have only used she pronouns and dont really have a construct regarding gender. But if your gem is male that is awesome and continue making great oc's ok.
Edit: if there do happen to be gems that identify as males, please don't be a dick to me. I'm not talking to any individuals, just in general because as of now gems have only identified as females so yeah
