As Liam and Harry enjoy a day off driving around the city and checking out the sights, they hear some talk radio gossip that catches their ear. "It's been the talk of the hour all morning - Harry Styles' beloved fiancé has passed away. There's still no news as to what happened or whether or not the boys will carry on with their show this evening, but Directioners around the world are very distraught. I'm checking the Twitter trends about it right now and -" Harry clicks the radio off and looks blankly at his friend. "Do you think it's true? Do you think something actually happened to her this morning?" he immediately begins to panic. "Why would they all know before you do? The media's fast, but they aren't that fast..." Liam responds rationally. "Right, right. Yeah, you're right," Harry states, moreso trying to convince himself of that than actually agreeing with Liam . He pulls out his phone to text you, and Liam takes this as his cue to pull the car over so that his full attention can be on his friend. After sitting for nearly ten minutes and still not getting a response, Liam asks, "Does she usually text back right away?" "Always. She's usually waiting by the phone for my texts..." "Maybe she's just out somewhere with friends and her service is choppy or something," Liam tries to keep his friend calm. Meanwhile, Harry is already scrolling through the gossip on his phone. "According to this, she died this morning...just a few hours ago." "Harry, be realistic here. You would have been the first one her family would have called. You would have known long before all these media people did." Harry nods, only half-registering what Liam had said as he begins to dial your number. "Y/N?" he asks when you answer. "Uh...yeah...do I have a secretary that I'm unaware of who usually answers my phone for me?" "Wha- no... Have you heard about your death?" he tries to make light of it and not let on that he'd believed it. "What? No! That's insane! I never thought I'd be one of those people that others make up rumors about...who would do that!" you say, amused. "It is pretty funny. Why didn't you answer my text?" Harry cuts to the chase. "I was actually in the middle of responding when you called. I went out for a run and didn't have my phone," you explain, and can hear Harry sigh with relief on his end of the line.
