"Maybe before you kill him you can hear them out," Clark said, trying to calm down Gizbie. She was fuming.
"Fine," she snapped. "Explain why I should help you and not just rip him to shreds."
"Well, Mxy told me that he'll be back for me once I unlock all of my magic. But I don't want to go anywhere with him. I just want to go home and see my mother again," I explained.
"Okay? So? All you have to do is beat his ass once you unlock all your magic." She stomped away from us. We all shuffled behind her and followed her out of the building.
"Well, that might be an issue. Uh, I don't think I can fight him alone. I've been having some trouble controlling the little bit of magic I do have." We all stumbled down the street, just following her as she stomped to wherever the fuck she was going.
She paused, and we all stopped behind her. She slowly turned around and looked me in the face. "Listen, kid, no offense, but I really do not want to help my ex-husband's affair baby." She started walking away again. Yikes, husband? This is gonna be harder than I thought. We started to follow her again.
"I get it, I really didn't want to be in this situation either. But you're the only person who can help me. I don't know who else to turn to. The only other fifth-dimension imp I could call on to help is the one who is trying to get me!" I rambled. I tried to go through all of my comic book knowledge as I talked. She's a pretty obscure character, but I feel like I remember her being a princess or something. Maybe she'd go for some flattery?
"Listen, Your Highness." She paused walking and slowly looked at me again. I got her; she loved to be flattered and gassed up, so I'm gonna gas her ass up. "You're one of the strongest beings in the universe! I remember reading about you in my world and being in awe. I mean, you're just so powerful and majestic."
"Well, I am pretty powerful." She muttered under her breath, her mouth quirking up in a small smile.
"You don't even have to help us fight him. Just help train me, maybe," I begged. I clasped my hands together and gave her my best puppy dog eyes.
"Hm, fine," she grumbled.
I had to bite my lip and fight back a cheer. "Thank you so much, Your Majesty."
"No problem, kid. I am a pretty benevolent ruler, and even though you were raised on Earth, you are still one of us. So that makes you one of my subjects, and I guess it is my job to help and protect you. Let's walk and talk to my apartment."
She sashayed away with more pep in her step. I grinned and turned towards my friends. Donna and Zatanna gave me high fives. Clark smiled and crushed me in a huge hug. Those three headed off towards Gizbie, but Dick and I hung behind a bit.
Dick ruffled my hair and smirked. "Thank God you're a nerd."
I smacked his hand away from my hair and rolled my eyes while fighting back a smile. "Insulting me when I just saved our butts is crazy."
He laughed and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "Let's catch up to them before they leave us behind."
I grinned a little to myself and reached up to grabbed his hand, interlacing our fingers together as we walked.

Gizbie's place was nice. It was a penthouse with two floors. She invited us inside and gestured for us to sit in her living room.
"Do you guys want something to drink?" she asked as she tossed her heels off.
"I could go for some water," Clark said. In an instant, a water bottle appeared in front of his face. I jumped a little when it appeared. I don't think I'll get used to that. "Thanks, Gizbie!"
