poppy and lily burst through ivys door as soon as they saw george's post, well what else were they supposed to do?

"ivory denver what the fuck!" lily exclaims as she looks at the girl sat on her sofa.

the truth is ivy doesn't know. she doesn't know what george meant. she doesn't know what was going on. she doesn't even know if she liked him. all that she does know is that he isn't arthur.

"lily i don't know ok? it's confused me too!" she dramatically falls onto the sofa, sighing. "george is a really good guy and he's being too flirty and it's freaking me out."

"you should talk to him." poppy says, sitting down next to her with lily following to sit on the other side.

ivy sighed at this. she knew poppy was right, but what if he did actually like her? does she like him? she wouldn't want to hurt him.

"i don't want to hurt him." ivy says and she rubs her eyes.

"i know you don't ivy, but you should." poppy replies, wanting to give her friends advice.

poppy and lily both agreed that ivy and arthur were perfect for one another, but now that george was in the picture they didn't know how to help her. they knew she was heartbroken at rory and arthur, but was george hat she needed?

"the issue is what if the media find out were actually dating? what then? my fans are horrible, and he's already receiving death threats in the comments. i can't do that to george!" she huffs, throwing her hands in the air.

"usually i'd say beat him up but i agree with poppy, just talk to him." lily smiles as ivy nods.

"ok i will."

ivy was over in 30 seconds, literally, considering they lived opposite each other. she didn't even need to knock on the door, knowing the apartment would be open.

poppy and lily looked at each other after reading the messages with ivy. they were scared for her friend, scared for george. they didn't want either of them getting hurt.

now for a bit of background on george and rory.

george and rory met on their first day of year 7 in bristol and george would be lying if he said he didn't have a crush on her from day one. he was obsessed!

everytime george saw rory it was like he fell in love over again. in his eyes she was beautiful, she was incredible, and he wanted nothing more than to break her and arthur up.

similarly to ivy, however, he knew that he couldn't. seeing rory happy made george happy. seeing arthur happy made ivy happy. it felt like some wicked scheme against them.

when george introduced rory to arthur he thought nothing of it, but within a week they were going on a date and it broke george's heart. what he didn't know is that they're met a couple weeks prior at the natural history museum where she works.

george would have told arthur that he was hopelessly in love with rory, but it all happened so fast and before he knew it he'd lost her to his best friend.

he was crushed, george didn't know what to do with himself other than avoid the pair. he hates seeing them together and for some idiotic reason he thought flirting with ivy would be a no-brainer.

he thought it would make rory jealous, but it didn't. it did, however, make arthur jealous which didn't go unnoticed. so obviously he copied arthur's post with the girl.

and after being told all this, ivy had one idea.

"what if we make them think we're dating?"
