"holy shit taylor we're up next..." ivy turns to the woman at the grammys.
"i can't believe they made arthur sit so far away!" taylor says back as ivy just rolls her eyes.
"don't even!" she groans.
"the nominees for best pop duo/group are.."
"false god, taylor swift and ivory denver.."
the presenter carries on as ivy zones out.
she thinks back to everything this last year has been. with arthur. if arthur was next to her, she'd be grabbing his hand for dear life. like there is no tomorrow.
she was petrified. not of not winning, but everything else. she didn't know what she was scared of. maybe the speech? maybe that arthur wasn't there?
she didn't know what to do. what to feel. what to say. she was chocked up.
false god is as much hers and is it all the fans.
false god is a symbol of ivys troubles, passions, loves for everything. the trumpet at the start. the lyrics.

"and the winner is..."
ivy took a deep breath, she knew if they didn't say false god she'd have to smile and pretend to be happy. she was prepared.
"false god, taylor swift and ivy denver!"
ivy jumps up in her seat, giving taylor a massive hug.
"holy shit thank you so much taylor!" she says in her ear, hoping that she can be heard over the noise.
"don't thank me, now let's go get this award!" taylor says, taking the girls hand and taking her up the stairs.
but something was wrong.
arthur wasn't there to congratulate her. he should be. he should be right next to her. but they were split up.
ivy gets onto the stage leaning into the microphone.
"i'm very sorry, i'll be back in just a second!"
ivy runs off the stage and straight to arthur.
she didn't care about the trophy, she wanted to celebrate with him.
arthur stands out from his seat as ivy runs into his arms.
"i'm so fucking proud of you ives, i love you so much!" he whispers in her ear.
"i only want to celebrate with you..." she says back to him.
"go get the award ives, i'll be right here after ok?" he says as she nods, heading back to the stage.

arthurtv ives, you are the most incredible person to walk this planet. every day i fall more in love with you, and winning a grammy? seriously? what can't you do? and in the wise words of miss taylor swift herself: "where's the trophy? she just comes running over to me."
