Queen alicent after hearing my mother was in labor, even if she didn't care much for my mother had me sent to her chambers to distract me so I wouldn't be traumatized.
I sit there in between her and Helaena looking and talking about bugs.
"This one has 60 rings...and two pairs of legs on each." I nod attempting to seem smart at Helaena's words but am currently failing miserably "That's 240." She is so cool, I don't know much bug facts but am trying to learn to be smart like her.
"Yes it is." Alicent says scratching her forehead, even if she and my mother never got on, which I don't understand.. they are both fun and good people why can't they ever get along, i think they've always hated each other.
"It has eyes...though..I don't believe it can see." Helaena tilts her head to the side to get a better angle of the bug in her hands, "and why is that?" I ask trying myself to get a better view of the same bug.
Helaena looks at me and Alicent and shrugs "it is beyond our understanding." I nod at her words feeling a bit tired.
"I suppose you're right some things just are." She reaches over and puts her hand on Helaena's arm and giving it a gentle squeeze before the door opens and everybody looks over, at least I did.
"Your grace." A member of the kings guard says with guess who In hand, Aemond.. oh good gods, i suppose it was a bit funny to see him always trying(and failing) to claim a dragon.
"Aemond." Alicent gets up and walks up to Aemond,"what have you done?" Alicent demands,"he did it again." Spoke me and Helaena at the same time.
"After how many times you've been warned,must I have you confined to your chambers?!" I hate hearing Alicent yell, even if it's never been at me her voice carries disappointment when she's mad and it hurts more for some odd reason.
"They made me do it!" Aemond attempts to defend himself from the scolding of a lifetime, "as if you need encouragement." "Your obsession with those beasts goes beyond understanding-"
"They gave me a pig." Aemond says "a what?" Alicent inquires, they gave him a pig?
"They said they found a dragon for me." Foolish boy, "the last ring has no legs at all." Helaena says getting my attention back on her, "I wonder why." I say looking at the bug once again.
"It was a pig." Aemond continued "you will have a dragon one day." Alicent attempts to comfort Aemond with maybe false words maybe true words only the gods know.
