Donte's PoV

As I pulled Amara closer, I felt the tension between us build into something almost tangible.

My hand slid up to the back of her neck, the other resting firmly on her lower back, anchoring her to me.

Her eyes met mine, and for a moment, the world outside the balcony disappeared.

It was just us - no mafia, no threats, no complications--just the intensity of this connection we couldn't deny any longer.

"Push me away if you want,"I whispered, my voice barely audible, "but I'll only keep coming back for you."

The words hung in the air between us, carrying the weight of the emotions I could no longer hide.

Without waiting for her response, I closed the distance between us, my lips brushing hers in a kiss that started soft but quickly grew in intensity.

There was a passion there that I hadn't allowed myself to fully feel before, a need that had been simmering under the surface for too long. When she kissed me back, I knew I wasn't alone in this she felt it too.

I deepened the kiss, my tongue darting out to taste her, to explore the warmth and softness of her mouth.

She responded in kind, her movements just as eager, just as hungry as mine.

The world around us seemed to blur, the sounds of the city fading into the background as the kiss consumed us both.

In one swift motion, I lifted her onto the railing of the balcony, careful to keep her balanced as I held her close.

The last thing I wanted was for this moment to be interrupted by anything-especially something as ridiculous as one of falling off the balcony. But he didn't break the kiss.

I couldn't. It was as if all the frustration, the tension, and the desire of the past few weeks were being poured into this single moment.

Her hands moved up to my neck, pulling me closer as she kissed me with a newfound intensity.

There was a roughness in the way she moved, a desperate urgency that mirrored my own.

I could feel her heartbeat quickening, matching the rapid pace of my own, as our lips and tongues moved in a rhythm that felt both frantic and perfectly synchronized.

The night air was cool against my skin, but all I could feel was the heat between us.

It was like a fire had been ignited, one that had I've been waiting for the right spark to set it ablaze.

And now that it had, I wasn't sure either of us could-or even wanted to put it out.

I pulled back just enough to look into her eyes, my breathing heavy as I tried to catch my breath.

The intensity in her gaze matched my own, and I could see the same fire burning there.

It wasn't just desire - it was something more, something deeper that I knew we would have to face eventually. But for now, I didn't want to think about that.

I didn't want to think about anything other than this moment, this kiss, and the way she made me feel.

"Amara," I murmured against her lips, my voice rough with emotion.
"
Before I could finish, she pulled me back into the kiss, her hands gripping my shirt as if to keep me from saying anything that might break the spell.

And so I let the words die on my lips, choosing instead to lose myself in the moment, in her, and in the connection that had grown between us.

Whatever came next, we would face it together. But for now, this was enough.
