Donte's PoV
I wanted this moment to be perfect-one that Amara would remember forever.
It wasn't just about the proposal; it was about showing her how deeply I loved her and how much she meant to me.
I'd planned an elaborate surprise, taking her to a different country and guiding her through a journey that would lead to the most significant question of my life.
We started our adventure in the heart of Europe, exploring cities full of history and romance.
From Paris's twinkling lights to Venice's serene canals, each destination was a testament to our shared experiences.
I wanted her to feel the magic of each place, just as she had brought magic into my life.
Finally, our journey led us to a secluded mountain-the place where she was born. It was a place of both beauty and significance, a location that held a piece of her soul.
As we arrived, I had arranged for a series of notes to be placed on trees along the path. Each note was accompanied by a rose.
Amara's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she picked up the first note, holding the delicate rose.
I watched her read the notes, which detailed why I had fallen for her, when I first felt those feelings, and how I kept falling for her despite the dangers and responsibilities that came with being close to me.
As she reached the final note, she found a large bouquet of roses waiting for her.
The last rose was adorned with a note bearing a red heart.
She opened it, revealing my confession for the first time: "I love you, Amara Petrova." Tears welled up in her eyes as she read the words, her emotions mirroring my own.
I took her to a dock where a yacht awaited us. As she sat down, I noticed her confusion, but I began to share my memories with her-the times we had spent together, the laughter, and the challenges.
I spoke of how grateful I was for her presence in my life, for how she had become a part of my family and my empire.
Despite the dangers, she had become my everything.
The yacht sailed to a secluded island, where I helped her out and led her down a path lit by lights and scattered petals.
It led to a hidden restaurant, beautifully decorated and reserved just for us.
We sat down for dinner, and as she questioned what was going on, I simply smiled and shared my favourite wine with her while she enjoyed water.
After the meal, a helicopter arrived to take us back to the mainland. The flight was short, but it gave us time to reflect on our evening.
When we landed back at the mansion, I opened the door to reveal a luxurious setting decorated with flowers.
As Amara looked around, puzzled, the mafia members began to hand her daisies, so now she held both roses and daisies in her hands.
I took a deep breath, setting the flowers aside, and took her hands in mine.
I confessed my love, expressing everything that had been on my mind.
Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out two boxes-a black rectangular box and a red velvet one.
"Which should I open first?" I asked, trying to hide my nervousness.
She chose the black box. I opened it, revealing three black cards, each with unlimited money. She looked at me, puzzled but appreciative, thanking me.
Then, I slowly got down on one knee and opened the red velvet box, exposing a large diamond ring, its beauty amplified by the many small diamonds surrounding it.
Her eyes widened as she stared at the ring, and then at me.
"Will you marry me, Amara Petrova? Will you make me the happiest, most vicious man alive?" I asked, my voice trembling with emotion.
Without hesitation, she leapt into my arms, knocking me to the ground. We embraced, her laughter and tears mingling with mine.
The guests laughed and cheered, and I slid the ring onto her finger. She looked at me with a smile that could light up the darkest night.
"I am officially Amara Petrova Blackwood," she giggled.
I smiled, feeling a profound sense of happiness as she took my last name. In that moment, surrounded by love and joy, I knew that our lives together would be filled with endless possibilities and unwavering commitment.
