(Patrick's POV)
Pete and I have been through so much the past decade. It has been an amazing ride so far. I love Pete and the life we have now. It has been a journey.
"You okay?" Pete asks me.
"Yes. I'm ready to be back on the road." I say.
"So am I. We leave tomorrow." He reminds me.
"I know we do. I am excited." I say.
"The album release went well. It was received so good." He states.
"That it was. I'm proud of us. This album was healing too." I say.
"I'm glad you think so." He says. "We've come a long way since the band first started."
"Yes we have. I've grown as a vocalist and performer. You've grown as a lyricist." I state.
He kisses me. "I'm proud of you."
I kiss him. "I'm proud of you too."
Theres a knock on the door. I answer to see who it is. Standing there is Brendon. "Hey Bren. What are you doing here?" I ask.
"May I come in?" Brendon asks.
"Who is it?" Pete calls to me.
"Its Brendon! Come in." I invite him inside.
"Sorry to just pop in especially because I know that you're busy." Brendon says.
"What's going on?" Pete asks. "Can I get you a drink?"
"No its fine. I'm here for advice actually." Brendon says.
"What's up?" I ask as I sit down next to my husband.
"I'm thinking about quitting Panic!" Brendon says.
"Why?" Pete asks.
"There's a lot going on in my personal life. Plus the fans haven't been nice to me lately either." Brendon states. "Plus my voice is shot."
"I say this with love, but I told you how to take care of your voice." I say.
"Be nice. It's up to you what you want to do. I've dealt with asshole fans before. It was tough." Pete pauses. "I can't tell you what to do."
"I know I went overboard with the high notes on the last album." Brendon says. "I need advice."
"If you damaged your voice, then it needs rest. If that means ending Panic! then.." I say. "I know its a tough decision."
"We'll be friends with you no matter what you decide." Pete says as he looks at the time. "We have to go."
Brendon leaves and we leave a few minutes later.
We go off to our rehearsal. We leave in tomorrow. I'm excited for our tour. It's going to be amazing. It will be chaotic as well. I look at Joe. "How is it that you're always early?" I ask.
Joe shrugs. "I just tend to be."
Pete looks at me. "At least we've stopped being late."
I laugh. "Uh huh." I say.
"Sorry I'm late." Andy says.
"You might want to fix the bed head." Pete says.
Joe grins and grabs his guitar. "Two days and then we'll be on tour."
"Yes. Speaking of, Pete and I are leaving after rehearsal." I state.
"That doesn't surprise me." Andy fixes his hair.
We get started with our rehearsal. It's going to be our best set list that we've ever done. I'm proud of the set lists that I've come up with. The medleys and eight balls are going to be improvised. That scares me.
"We'll see you in Chicago." Joe says as we put our equipment away.
"The perfect place to start our world tour." Pete says. "See you there."
Andy grins. "Yes it is the perfect place for that."
I hug them. "Love you guys. Can't wait to show our fans the surprises we have up my sleeve." I say.
Pete and I go to the hotel to grab our stuff to go to the airport.
"Its nice to be back. I can't wait to play here at Wrigley soon. It's going to be magical for us." I say.
He smiles. "You are right about that. Our hometown. The reason we've made it this far." He says.
I nod. "Exactly. Right now I want to enjoy your company." I kiss him.
He kisses me back. "Fine by me." He pulls me into his arms.
