I wake up with Patrick cuddled up next to me. I don't want to wake him up so I get out of the bed slowly. I go to take a shower. I let the water help my thoughts. I am scared to get back together with him. We've had a lot of ups and downs. We are in a good place and I don't want to fuck it up.

     ~2008~

Patrick and I are at the Lake right now. I have something I want to ask him. I don't know if he'll say yes.

"What's going on with you?" Patrick asks me.

"Nothing." I answer as I look at him.

"You're lying." He says, crossing his arms.

"Patrick..." I get on one knee. "Will you marry me?"

"I uh..Its too soon. I'm not ready yet. I still want to be with you though." He answers.

"I..." I walk away from him. I should have asked if he was ready for this first. I don't know what to do right now. I'm lost. We had been fighting a lot lately. We broke up.

  ~Now~

"You sure you want to do this?" Patrick asks me.

"I do want to. Are you sure that you want to jump back in?" I ask.

"It's you. Of course I do. I should have said yes." he says.

I smile at him. "It's in the past. Let's start over." I say.

  "Clean slate?" he asks.

"Yes a clean slate. How about we start with a date?" I suggest.

"A date sounds like a perfect idea. Tomorrow though." He says.

  "Yes that's fine." I state.

"It means a lot that you want to do this again." He says.

"It means a lot me too. I'm lucky to have you." I state.

"I'm the lucky one." He states.

"How about we go to the Lake?" I ask him.

"I do love that idea. Let me grab my jacket." He says.

I grab my jacket. "Ready?" I ask.

He grabs his jacket. "Yes I am. Let's go." he says.

We walk to the Lake. We both now live back in Chicago. It's something we both wanted to do. We needed the inspiration.

"It's nice to be back." I say as I look at the Lake.

"It is. I'm excited for us to be back on the road soon." He says.

"I've missed it too. It will be fun." I say. "And worth it."

"Writing with everyone again was amazing. I'm lucky to have everyone in my life." He says.

"I missed writing with everyone too. It was a good time. I really am glad to have you, Joe, and Andy." I say.

"I love being in the band with you guys." He agrees.

"It's about time you two showed up." Joe says.

"Sorry I am still supposed to take it easy." Patrick says.

"Your health comes first. It's fine." Andy says.

We start our tour rehearsal. It's a lot but I'm excited to be back on the road with Fall Out Boy. Its been a long time but I'm ready to get back at it.

"You guys are amazing. This tour is going to be so much fun and love." Joe says.

"it really will be. The fans are excited I'm assuming." Patrick says.

"It will be but I'm excited to do this again." Andy says.

"I am too. I missed doing it with my best friends." I state.

We are excited for the future. I can't wait to see what else the band is going to do. This album is a start of a new chapter. It's a new chapter for us. Its a new stage for us. It is something that I'm excited for. It's a new start but also not. I want to enjoy every minute of it.

   "Earth to Pete." Patrick says.

"Sorry got lost in thought." I say.

"I know. We probably should get home." Patrick says.

"Alright lets get home." I agree.

"We'll see you guys later." Patrick says.

We head home, well my house. Patrick still doesn't want to go back to his. He feels safer around me too.

"How are you feeling?" Patrick asks me.

"I'm feeling better. It's just getting back into the routine." I say.

"I get that. I love that we're back on it." He says.

"Yeah exactly." I agree as we get back to my house.

"We've got this." He kisses me on the cheek.

"Thank you for supporting me. I love.." I want to say it but I can't. I still do love him. I never stopped. He's always I have his. We're not there again yet I think.
