Mikan's Pov

It was the next day and a Monday at that. Everyone was so excited and stocked to get the classrooms ready for the cultural happening on Friday. We had no classes for the rest of the week, except for homeroom and electives like theater and such.

"Alright class, we will assign everyone in groups on what and where to work with." Narumi Sensei said, as he wrote on the board. "I will be passing around a jar full of random jobs to do, from making the stage, to cleaning the classroom. And when you are done with doing your job for the classroom, you may help anyone who needs help in the classroom or go to your electives and help there." He said as he handed the first person in the row the jar full of slips of paper.

I looked over at Natsume and blushed slightly, thinking back to yesterday's events. We were dating now! Something that I would have never thought would happen between us. 'Please God, please let me be in Natsume's group!' I silently prayed in my head.

The jar came in my hands and I closed my eyes before I picked a slip. Passing the jar to Natsume, I opened the slip of paper carefully and read it, "Make signs and posters," it read. I was happy that I got an easy job, and I nudged Natsume's arm, making him look at me. "What did you get?" I whispered to him so that Narumi Sensei wouldn't hear.

"This." He said, showing me his slip of paper. It read "set up stage." I slumped, disappointed. I felt Natsume's hand pat my head and he looked the other way, embarrassed. I giggled and was feeling a lot better. Beside me, I felt Hotaru staring at me and I looked at her. She was giving me a gentle expression, as she saw Natsume's hand on my head.

I remembered before, Natsume texted me after I got home that night, that Hotaru, Anna, Nonoko and Ruka all helped him make everything perfect at the park. So they all knew. "What group did you get?" I mouthed to her as I felt Natsume's hand slip off my head.

She showed me her slip of paper and it read "props maker" I sighed, disappointed again, and showed her mine. She nodded when she saw mine and gave me a thumbs up for good luck. I nodded and did the same to her. I hope Anna or Nonoko is in my group then. I thought and slumped in my desk.

"Alright class, does everyone have a slip of paper?" He asked everyone. "Yes Sensei." Everyone said. He smiled at everyone and said, "great, you may all go to your group members now."

Everyone literally jumped out of their seats, to see who was in their groups. I walked over to Anna and Nonoko, and said, "what groups are you guys in?" "I'm in cleaning group." Anna said, sighing of dissapointment. "I got Make signs and posters." Nonoko said. My face brightened up, hearing her say that. "Great! We're in the same group!" I yelled, cheering.

"That's great Mikan!" Nonoko said, also cheering. Then in the distance of the classroom, I heard someone yelling, "Make signs and posters group, come over here!" I grabbed Nonoko's arms and said, "we have to go, someone's calling for us." I told her. "Bye Anna! See you later!" Nonoko said, before following me.

It ended up to be Prez, shouting for the group to come over. "Yay, Prez, we're in the same group!" I cheered and gave him a big grin. He just smiled at me in response. The rest of the people in our group was A girl from the Natsume and Ruka fan club named Honoka, who glared at me the minute she saw me. And two other boys that were named Daichi, and Kei.

"Alright, let's start by getting some poster boards, string, a hole puncher, markers, and some glitter from the art room." Prez said, as he wrote a list of everything on a piece of paper. We all nodded, and went out of the classroom and into the bustling halls, towards the direction of the art room.

Once we got everything we needed, and some extra stuff just in case, we all headed our way back to the classroom. When Daichi opened the doors, it was bustling with shouts, creaks of moving desks, and etc. we took all of our stuff and supplies and headed to a corner of the classroom, where we wouldn't be in the way of everyone. Nonoko and I decided to work a little further away from the group so that we wouldn't end up talking to them a lot.
