Chapter 30. The Play

Mikan's Pov

I ate so much, by the time we had to be in the auditorium, my stomach was bulging. A whole bunch of people were already sitting in the seats, waiting for the play to start.

"Mikan!" I heard someone yell my name. Mom.

I spun around and saw her walking towards me with grandpa right behind her. She gave me a big hug and my friends just awkwardly looked at the two of us hugging.

Then I hugged grandpa and saw that mom also had a camera hanging around her neck. "Please don't record it." I numbly said to her. She grinned and said "nope!" Waving the camera around. I sighed and heard someone cough to get my attention. It was Tsubasa.

"Huh? Oh!" I said, forgetting that Misaki, Tsubasa and Tono have never met my mom or grandpa yet. "Mom, grandpa, this is Misaki, Tsubasa, and Tono. They're my friends and senpais." I said, introducing each one of them.

"Nice to meet you, you three." Mom said, and shook hands with each of them. Then doing the same with the rest of my friends. Stopping at Natsume.

"So..." She said, giving him a smug look. "What?" He asked. "I heard you asked my daughter out!!" She exclaimed and my face grew beet red. "M-mom!" I exclaimed, hissing at her and trying my best to cover my heated up cheeks.

Natsume wasn't affected and just bluntly stated, "I did, and I'll be sure to take good care of her." And mom patted his shoulder in a lovingly mom way. "Thank you Natsume." She said.

"Onii-chan! Is this your girlfriend? The one where you had to be at her house everyday?!" I heard a voice ask as I felt someone's arms grab my shoulders.

Natsume sighed and nodded. The person turned me around and I saw that she was an exact replica of Natsume, only she was a girl. "Uwaa! You're so pretty!" She exclaimed as she looked at me. I looked back at Natsume and saw him walking over to us, with everyone espouse watching in amusement.

"Sorry, Mikan. Everyone, this is my little sister. Aoi." He announced. She let go of me and grinned at everyone. "Yep! Thank you everyone for taking care of my big brother!" She yelled cheerfully.

Tsubasa and Tono just stared at her in shock. "Woah, you're like the exact opposite of him." They mumbled. She laughed and said, "hehe, yeah. I get that a lot."

She turned to me and I saw on her wrist was the bracelet that I picked out for her. "Oh yeah, Mikan! We should go shopping together later! Natsume told me that you picked out my present for me! And I love it!" She exclaimed, holding up her wrist.

I smiled at her and nodded, agreeing that we should do that soon.

"Yuka?" I heard a voice say. I looked and saw a woman with her husband, she had hair like Natsume's and his sisters so I guessed that the lady was their mom.

My mom looked at the lady and mumbled, "Kaoru?"and they ran to each other hugged. "I missed you so much!" Natsume's mom exclaimed. "I did too!" Mom said back.

I smiled at them and saw Natsume's dad walking over to me. "I'm guessing you're Mikan Sakura?" He asked me. I nodded and felt nervous, knowing that this man was Natsume's dad. "You grew up so much." He said, looking at me up and down.

Then I remembered that he must've seen me when I was little and asked Natsume to play from back then. I felt Natsume stand beside me, and he said to his dad, "oh yeah and dad, I forgot to tell you that we're dating."

My face blushed a light red and I covered my face again. "Aw, it's alright Mikan! No need to get embarrassed, everyone else knows except for my dad." She said, giggling at me. I nodded, but still felt my hot face.
