Natsume's Pov

It was quiet for a while. "C'mon, tell!" Polka yelled, growing unpatient. I sighed, "fine, fine just don't get mad at me or your mom when I tell you, alright?" I asked. She reluctantly nodded, "fine." She said. "Alright, then let's start," I said.

"It started when I was in the park, playing in the sandbox." I said and looked at Polka, who just gave me a look that said, 'go on' so I did. "Then an annoying little girl, about a year younger than me walked up to me and asked to play with me." I continued.

Polka just gave me a puzzled look, "the little girl was you." I plainly stated. I could see she was shocked a little, but went on. "After I let you play with me, we played with each other at the park everyday after that. Then, about a month or so later I think, you stopped coming." I said.

"I was wondering where you went,(doesn't want to tell her he was worried about her) so I kept going, everyday, even though I knew you wouldn't be there." "Maybe about another month later I think, I saw you at the park, sitting on a bench with your mom. Usually you were with both of your parents but this time it was just your mom." I said.

I looked at Polka to see how she was taking it, and she wasn't very well. She looked like she had a huge headache since she was holding her head. "Do you want me to stop? I don't want you to get worse." I said. She just shook her head, "no, please go on." She said. I nodded and continued.

"When I walked up to you and your mom, you just looked at me as if I were some Alien from another planet. You hid behind your mom most of the time." "After trying to talk to you but you stubbornly didn't want to, your mom told you to go buy some drinks for you and her, while you were getting them she told me about what happened to you and your dad. She had tears streaming down her face as she told me that your dad died in a car accident, and you lost some of your memories." I said.

Now I looked at Polka, since I was done. She had her eyes closed as if she was in pain. She was still grabbing her head. "Oi, are you alright?" I asked, walking over to her. "Yeah, I'm alright, just a small headache." She said. I sighed in relief. "But still, I don't understand, I wasn't in the car when Dad died." She mumbled.

After a while of her thinking, I told her, "you should go back to bed, you'll need it and please don't be mad at up your mom." I said. She reluctantly nodded and got in her covers. "See you tomorrow." I said, as I was about to close her door, I heard her say to me, "thanks, for telling me." Then I closed it with a light thud.

I could hear Natsume leave the house when he shut the front door downstairs. I wasn't planning to get any sleep at all. I lost my memories? When? I asked myself.

About maybe 10 minutes later or so, my bedroom door opened, revealing my mom as she popped her head through the door. "Hey, how are you feeling?" My mom asked me, walking in and sitting beside me on my bed.

I just stayed quiet, but sat up. "I'm alright," I mumbled. "That's good, here I brought some medicine," she said, holding up a bag in one hand and a glass of water in the other. "Thanks mom," I said, and grabbed the glass of water.

I waited for her to give me a pill or two and hand them to me. When she did I instantly gulped them down and set the now empty glass on my nightstand. "Thanks mom." I said again. She just beamed at me. "You're welcome Mikan, I hope you'll feel better soon." She said. I just nodded and looked at the covers I was gripping with my fingers.

"Is there something wrong?" She asked, worried. I slightly nodded my head. "What is it then?" She asked. "Why didn't you tell me I lost some of my memories?" I asked, looking at her now. I saw that she wasn't expecting this question.
