Chapter 1: Sorted

Lola's P.O.V

After meeting Lavender Brown in Diagon Alley, I was curious about the going on between Father, Mother and Lavender. Amber, my younger sister who is 3 months younger than me, was also curious. "Ahh, I'm shocked to see that you still remember my name after you STOLE MY BOYFREIND!" Lavender had screeched on the day I met her. "What does she mean? Is she talking about Dad?" Said, Amber. "First years! First-year students come forward, please!" Called a voice above all others. The voice was calm, smooth and steady. I walked toward the voice and tried to see on top of others' heads. As the calming voice went on, I pushed through the crowd to reach the front. Why are there so many first years? "Students of Hogwarts who are 12 and under, these are called boats. Muggle boats" I could see the speaker now. She had long, brown wavy hair and millions of freckles. She was also wearing a teal robe and a beautiful white wand in her hand. She looked beautiful. I saw my sister nearby and locked eyes with her. We smiled.

"We will be riding in the boats to Hogwarts. So get into pairs of 5 and find a boat." She smiled and gestured toward a line of boats. I jumped up and down in excitement. Who would I go with? I looked over at my sister and saw her gathering up 3 people to go in her boat. She looked around for someone else to pop into her boat and locked eyes with me again. She smiled and gestured toward me. I ran over to her excitedly and stood next to a nice-looking girl with long, light brown hair who looked a bit like Dawn Evening. No, scratch that, Dawn Potter. She got married to Harry Potter. Wait just a second, that means, Harry is headmaster and Dawn is Deputy. I get to meet the two greatest legends of wizardfolk there are! EEEEEEEE!!! I grinned. Soon the group I was in walked down to the boats. The black lake water lapped the sand and almost touched my shoes. I inched back.

"It's ok, it won't poison you! Tell you what, I'll sit in your boat if you like" I heard a kind, soft voice behind me as a hand was placed on my shoulder. Amber gasped and Emily rolled her eyes. Jade smiled. I turned around and gasped, stepping back into the lake. OMG! IT IS THE LEGENDARY, ALMIGHTY, AMAZING DAWN POTTER! I thought, my eyes widening. I looked at my wet shoes and lifted them back onto the sand. "Awwww. My new shoes! Well, they aren't exactly new. I got them from Mum." But the fact Dawn Potter was going to sit in my boat was traumatising. Dawn chuckled and waved her wand at my shoes. They immediately turned dry. "Thanks!" I smiled brightly. I got into my boat, shaking a little because Dawn was sitting in my boat. I leaned closer to my sister and started to talk about meeting Dawn. Jade, who was in the conversation herself, shook her head and chuckled. "You know she's my Aunt! Plus, she's also Emily's Mum" Amber and I stared at her in shock. "Really?" Amber says disbelievingly and looks back at Dawn, shaking her head. Dawn chuckled. "Yes. I am indeed Emily's Mother and Jade's Aunt in a way."

Amber gaped. "What! But-!" she paused looking directly into Emily's face. "But what, Amber?" Dawn asks kindly, tilting her head like a dog. Amber opened her mouth but Emily interrupted, saying "Don't!". Amber smiled cheekily. "It's just, I thought that the ALMIGHTY Dawn Evening should know what her daughter has been up to!" She smiled in a sweet innocent way. Emily smothered/slapped her hand directly on her face in annoyance. "I'm listening," Dawn said cautiously, looking curiously back at Emily for a second and then back at Amber. "Well, I just STILL can't believe it! I mean, where does Emily get her genes from?" She asks smiling. "What do you mean?" Dawn said, narrowing her eyes a bit. I smiled, trying not to laugh.

Amber continued innocently. "Well, you and Harry are married. All Brave, kind and calm, while Emily's pretty much the COMPLETE opposite!" Emily stands up raging with anger and tries to walk toward her, rocking the boat. But she loses her balance and falls into the water with a great splash. I burst out giggling. "See!" Amber says, pointing toward Emily who was holding onto the edge of the boat, gasping for breath with wide, wet eyes. "COMPLETE opposite!" I giggled even more. "Oh, girls!" Dawn says rolling her eyes, smiling. Amber smiled back and looked at Jade who was staring at Emily with pity. Dawn helps Emily back onto the boat and wraps a towel around her. Emily glares at Amber angrily and she stares back at her, trying not to laugh.
