Chapter 2: Class

I lay on my bed, thinking what I knew of the Hogwarts Professors.

Headmaster: Harry Potter

COMC: Dawn Potter

DADA: Annelise Malfoy ( Draco Malfoy married her )

Potions: Ammie Malfoy ( Troy Malfoy married her )

Quidditch Professor: Wren Ravenclaw

History of Magic: Willow Diggory

Nurse: Em Potter

Transfiguration: Melody Malfoy ( Elijha Malfoy married her )

Charms: Hayley Potter

Astronomy: Frienze

Herbology: Neville Longbottom

Divination: Lavender Brown

Lavender Brown. I shivered. She gives me the creeps. At least I won't be in her class this year. I'll be in her class in 2 years. Thank goodness. It was morning and I never bothered to get up because I didn't know whether to wait for everyone else to wake up or get up and do my things until the others got up. Suddenly, Amber jumped on top of my bed and yelled "WAKE UP! We're doing classes today!" I laughed. I jumped up and took my books into their bag. Amber kept on badgering me to hurry up and I ended up knocking Bella's glass of flowers with a crash to the floor. Amber and I looked at each other in silence then rushed down the stairs. We heard a yell just as we got into the common room. "WHO BROKE MY GLASS OF FLOWERS!!!" Amber and I giggled.

"This is called a Unicorn, for people who don't know," Dawn says, staring directly at Draco. "One of the most precious Mythical creatures there are," Dawn said calmly, bringing us to a small horse yard in the sun-filled forest full of green maple leaves and birches. One of the Unicorns who was galloping in the horse pen strode toward Dawn and nuzzled her hand lovingly. I took in a breath. "When you face a Unicorn, you need to remember 2 or 3 things. One, stand still and wait for it to come to you instead. If it does, it will eat the berry or sugar in your hand. Two, once it's done eating, it will nuzzle your hand. Then you can ride it. Now that I have demonstrated, you could ride on a Unicorn now." I squeal excitedly and step forward.

"Now, who wants to ride on a-" But Dawn was cut off because I yelled "ME!!!" and she laughed. She beckoned me toward her as her first demonstrator. She handed me some barley sugar, and before I could stand face to face with a unicorn, she whispered in my ear. "I feel we will become great friends in the future". I looked at her happily.

"Really?"

"Yes," She prodded my back softly. "Go on, I believe you can do better than you think so" I smiled happily and stepped forward. The Unicorn who was fed recently by Dawn was looking around, her hair flowing in the wind. I slowly put my hand out to it with the sugar in my hand. The Unicorn looked around at me, realising that I had food. And sugar especially! That was her favourite snack! She eagerly walked toward me and forced its nose into my hand. It licked up the sugar and I giggled. Her tongue was ticklish! Once finished, the Unicorn looked up at me, her purple eyes staring steadily into my own. Then she nosed my side, pushing me toward her back.

I gasped. Did I do it? Did I really succeed? Dawn gave me an excited nod and I grinned. I sat on its back and it ran off at once at full speed. It ran around her paddock, through all the dandelions and grass. I squealed in happiness. Soon I was returned to the forest and I got off sadly. Dawn gave me a smile and a high five, then I ran back to where Amber was. "Amber! Did you see that? I RODE a UNICORN!... Amber?" I looked at my sister and saw that she was dozing off. "Amber, AMBER wake up!" I yelled. She woke up with a jump and saw my angry expression. "What's happening?" She asked, looking around and noticing everyone crowded around Dawn and a few Unicorns on the other side of the garden. "You fell asleep!" Answered Alana who was standing behind Amber.
