Chapter 26: Niffler? What?

"You want us to live in here along with our friends? Are you crazy?" Amber asked. "Just as much as you are. You excited?" Dawn laughed. "Yes!" I nodded along with Amber. "You'll still have normal lessons and things but you'll have to sleep here than in your dormitory."

"Thats fine with me." Amber replied. The door opened and some flying things came in. "Wha-" I started, then Harry came in holding his wand to the things. "Oh. Wingardium Leviosa." Amber realised. Then Leah, Jade, Alana and Emily came in with their flying things also trailing behind them. "Jade! Leah! Hi!" I cried, running forward and embracing them in a hug. Harry opened the secret room Amber and I slept in last night and placed all our stuff inside. Out of nowhere, Dawn put two more beds inside the room and cleaned it up, putting the books in their bookshelf, the objects in their boxes and the mat back in its place.

"Woah! Dad, you didn't say there was a secret room in your study!" Squeaked Emily, jumping up and down. Harry smiled and patted her shoulder. "Your Mother said it weren't the time for you to know. Now it is." Dawn put our things carefully in wardrobes and shelves with her wand and then turned to us. "Now, off to Breakfast! We'll be having tarts and many other delicious foods." She smiled. But there was a worried glint in her eye. "You don't know when the war will be, do you?" I asked after Amber, Alana and Emily ran out of the office for breakfast. She sighed. "Yes. I don't know when the war will be. It is such a threat and I'm not sure if we taught everyone enough of what they needed to learn before the war. I do hope Tina comes though. She's one of my closest friends. I'm expecting her late this afternoon or tomorrow."

I nodded. "I'm scared too. Harry taught me and Amber the three worst curses and I'm terrified of using them."

"Oh, Lola. I'm so sorry."

"N-no. It's fine." I stammered and walked out the office with Dawn and the others.

"Lola! Teach your sister some manners! Stealing my necklace is a crime and thats what Amber just did! Humph!" Said a girl with brown hair and walked off. What's gotten into her? Amber wouldn't steal such things. I walked into the great hall and walked up to Amber. "Amber, who are you talking to?" I asked. "Oh, just myself" Amber answered. "You were talking to yourself..." I said slowly, confused. "Yeah, why wouldn't I?" She asked "Not sure. Just some girl holding a gold and diamond necklace came up to me saying you stole it from her." I explained "But I know you would never..." I trailed off, looking at her guilty looking face. "Why are you looking guilty?" I asked "What? I'm not-" She stopped as I raised my eyebrow at her "Is it that obvious?" She asked, "No, I just know you better than anyone here." I told her. "So, you gonna tell me why you stole it?"

"Lola, you know me better than anyone, right?" Amber asked, "Right" I replied, "So you know that I would NEVER lie to you, right?" She asked again "Right..." I answered, slower this time, "So if I told you that a small weird creature that looks like a platypus stole that girl's necklace and made it look like I did it, you'd believe me... Right?" My sister asked. I looked at her blankly. Is she crazy? Definitely. I burst out laughing. "Amber, what did you do?" I asked warningly, "I didn't do anything! It was the navy blue platypus!" She whined "Amber, there's no such thing as a navy blue platypus. Not to mention we're in England, and there aren't any platypuses in England other than in the muggle zoo's." I pointed out, and looked behind her. There was nothing there "What?!" Amber said angrily and looked at me.

"If there is this blue Platypus, how about you show me it?" I scolded "I-it was here!" Amber answered "Right here!" She pointed to the spot behind her and I raised my eyebrow at her, "Wait here" She shushed me and started looking around for the navy blue platypus. "Don't!" She suddenly yelled and got out her wand. She pointed it at something and yelled, "Petrificus Totalus!" She picked something up. "Amber! What are yo- oh my goodness!" I cried, stopping as I came up to her and saw the creature, "Amber, put that thing down!" I warned.

"Why? I can promise you, it doesn't hurt" She explained, "Well that's because you froze it" I pointed out, just as the creature started moving again "Oh, Amber, put it down before it hurts you!" I said. "It won't, it'll just try to steal any jewellery you have!" Amber explained, "What?" I asked, "Don't mind that, but isn't he adorable?!" She cooed. "No! Amber! He is NOT adorable!" I yelled. I mean, It is really cute and adorable. But stealing jewllery? ITS DANGEROUS! And Amber pushed it toward me. "Come on, it's easy!" AAAAAAAAA!!! "No! Get that thing away from me!" I yelled as Amber pushed it into my hands. I avoided touching it, but Amber pushed it further onto me. Then she dropped it and I couldn't afford to make it fall on the floor. cI bit my lip, frightened.

The creature looked at me and smiled, "Amber, please get it off me!" I gasped as the creature looked to Amber and I saw a small evil glint in it's eye as it jumped of me and onto Amber "HEY!" She yelled and quickly grabbed it. "That's not nice!" Amber taught and held him. "How much stuff do you have in there?" Amber asked and looked to me. "Where did you even find it?" I asked, but before Amber could answer, Dawn came up to us. "Amber, Lola, have you seen a small creature around- oh there you are!" Dawn said, looking at the creature. She picked him up and Harry ran from behind her. "You found it!" He yelled. "Now let's tell Newt" My sister pulled a puzzled look to Lola, she shrugged, and we looked back to them, Dawn stopped Harry before he could take it away "hold on" she took the creature and flipped it upside down, tons of cash, bracelets, necklaces, coins, chains started falling from the creatures pouch

Lola looked at it in disbelief, I watched, confused about how it all fit in there, the metals were falling for what felt like hours, overtime kids gathered around the creature and Dawn, once it was finished Dawn shook it for a bit longer, making sure it was all out, she lifted it so it was no longer upside down, she handed it to Harry and he looked dazed as Dawn turned to everyone who was crowded around them, "I'd like everyone to check everywhere, in case something metal is missing if it is, it's most likely to be in this pile of jewelry, please don't take anything that isn't yours, anyone who does will have to wright a 2,000 essay about how stealing is bad, you got that?" Dawn warned, everyone looked around and started checking everything they have, as Harry signaled Lola and I to follow, "come there's someone I'd like you two to meet"

Harry walked us to the front of Hogwarts and toward two people who were walking toward us holding hands, a boy and a girl, they both looked about somewhere in there 30's and the boy was holding a fairly large suitcase, as they came closer and into the light, I saw the girl looked super familiar, I tilted my head at her, she gasped "Amber, Lola, you two probably don't remember these people, you were very small when you two met, but-" Harry started but the girl cut him off and pulled Lola and I into a hug, "Lola, Amber, you've grown so much! Last time I saw you, you were so small!, how long has it been since then?" she looked to the boy for answers, as she let go of us "um, about, ten years" he answered, the girl gasped "only ten?" she said and smiled sweetly at us

but my eyes were fixed on what was in the suitcase the guy was holding, maybe I could steal it? "Amber, no" Lola warned, I turned to her "I wasn't thinking about anything" I said innocently, she raised her eyes at me, "fine, I wont" I gave in, the guy looked to us and smiled, "anyway, so, my names Tina, and this is Newt" my eyes shot up as soon as the girl said those words "scamander?" I asked, she nodded, I felt like I could bounce off the walls "the Newt Scamander, as the Newt scamander who wrote Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them?" I asked, Tina nodded, "how old are you?" I asked "Amber! that's rude" Lola excused "no, don't worry, we're about 200 years old" Tina answered Lola suddenly stepped in "really? you don't look like it" "yeah, that's because we keep using a special potion" Harry gasped "don't worry, Harry, it's not unicorn blood" Tina reasured him, Harry breathed, "what happens when you use unicorn blood?" I asked, Tina looked up at Harry, Harry shook his head, and Tina smiled down at me "I can't tell you" she said, then looked to me with a glint in her eye that said 'I'll tell you when I get the chance' I smiled

Harry handed Newt the creature and Newt put the creature into his suitcase "you can't put a living thing in there! it'll suffocate!" I stated, Tina laughed and Lola and I looked to her confused, she turned to Newt with a daring smile "can I show them?" she asked, Newt pressured his eyes, "do we have to?" he asked, Tina nodded, Newt looked to us, Lola and I nodded at the same time, Newt looked to Harry, "can I?" he asked, "sure, I don't see the harm"
