AUTHOR'S POV-

The dim light of a single bulb illuminated the cramped studio apartment where RM sat, strumming his guitar. The room was sparse, filled only with the essentials a worn couch, a makeshift bed, and a corner dedicated to his music. Posters of legendary musicians adorned the walls, serving as both inspiration and a reminder of how far he still had to go. RM’s fingers danced over the strings, but his mind was elsewhere, lost in thoughts of dreams he could barely understand.

"Why do I keep having these dreams?" RM muttered to himself, shaking his head as he tried to focus on the chords. The dreams had started months ago, vivid and haunting. He’d see a woman with her face always just out of focus standing in a place that felt strangely familiar. The dreams left him with an unshakable feeling of longing, as if he was searching for something that had been lost to time.

“Man, you need to snap out of it,” RM’s best friend and fellow musician, Suga, said as he walked into the room with two cups of coffee. He handed one to RM and plopped down on the couch. “You’ve been off your game lately. What’s going on?”

RM sighed, setting his guitar aside. “It’s these dreams, Suga. I can’t get them out of my head. There’s this woman…I don’t know who she is, but I feel like I know her, you know? Like I’ve met her before.”

Suga raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure you’re not just stressing out about the showcase next week? You’ve been working your ass off, and now you’re talking about some dream girl?”

“It’s not just that,” RM replied, running a hand through his hair. “I can’t explain it, but it feels real, like these dreams are trying to tell me something. And it’s not just about the woman… It’s like there’s a whole other life I’m seeing, one that isn’t mine, but it feels like it is.”

Suga leaned back, sipping his coffee. “Maybe it’s a sign. Who knows? But right now, we need to focus on the showcase. It’s our chance to finally get noticed. If we nail this, we could get that record deal we’ve been dreaming of.”

RM nodded, though his thoughts were still tangled in the web of his dreams. “You’re right. I can’t let this mess with my head. But every time I pick up my guitar, I feel like I’m playing for someone I can’t even remember.”

Suga gave him a reassuring pat on the back. “Look, just channel whatever you’re feeling into your music. That’s what makes you special, man. You’ve got this.”

RM forced a smile, appreciating Suga’s support. But as he picked up his guitar again and began to play, the melody that emerged was laced with the same longing that filled his dreams. The woman’s face flashed in his mind, still blurred, but her presence felt closer than ever.

“I don’t know who you are,” RM whispered as he played, “but I’m going to find you. I know I am.”

He strummed the final chord, the note hanging in the air like a promise. Despite the uncertainty of his future, RM couldn’t shake the feeling that the answers he sought, both in music and in life, were tied to the mysterious woman who haunted his dreams.
