AUTHOR'S POV-

The city skyline glimmered under the setting sun as YN stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows of her corner office. Her eyes scanned the bustling streets below, but her mind was far away, lost in the same dream that had plagued her for years. She sighed deeply, trying to shake off the unease that clung to her.

“Ms. YN, the board meeting is in fifteen minutes,” her assistant, Mina, reminded her as she entered the room with a stack of files. Mina had been with YN since the early days of the company and knew her well enough to notice when something was off. “Are you okay? You seem…distracted.”

YN turned away from the window, forcing a smile. “I’m fine, Mina. Just a bit tired, that’s all.”

Mina placed the files on YN’s desk and gave her a knowing look. “Is it the dreams again?”

YN hesitated before nodding. “Yeah. They’re getting more intense. I keep seeing the same places, the same people, but I don’t recognize any of them. It’s like I’m living someone else’s life while I sleep.”

Mina frowned. “Have you ever thought about talking to someone? Maybe there’s a deeper meaning to these dreams.”

YN waved off the suggestion. “I’m not one for therapy, Mina. I’ve built my life on logic and hard work, not on trying to interpret dreams.”

Mina nodded, though her concern remained. “Just don’t let it wear you down. You’ve worked too hard to get where you are to let something like this distract you.”

YN sighed, glancing at the clock. “I know, I know. It’s just...these dreams feel so real. Sometimes, when I wake up, I feel like I’ve lost something, like I’m searching for something that I can’t find in this world.”

Mina softened her tone. “Maybe you just need a break. When was the last time you took a day off?”

YN laughed dryly. “I can’t even remember. There’s always something that needs to be done, and if I’m not here, who’s going to run the company?”

“You’ve built an empire, YN. It’s okay to step back sometimes,” Mina said gently. “Maybe what you’re looking for isn’t something you can find here, in this office.”

YN’s smile faltered, and she looked back out the window. “Maybe,” she murmured, though she wasn’t sure she believed it. “But right now, I have to focus. The company comes first.”

Mina nodded, picking up on YN’s desire to change the subject. “Alright, I’ll get everything ready for the meeting. But if you ever need to talk, you know I’m here.”

“Thanks, Mina,” YN said, offering a grateful smile. As her assistant left the room, YN sank into her chair, running a hand through her hair. She opened her laptop, but her focus was elsewhere, lingering on the dream that felt too vivid to ignore. Who was the man she kept seeing? And why did she feel such a deep connection to him, despite not knowing his name?

As the clock ticked closer to the meeting, YN tried to push the thoughts away, reminding herself that she had an empire to run. But deep down, she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something or someone missing from her life. And for the first time, she wondered if the success she had built was enough to fill the void in her heart.
