-... I was shocked. Are you listening to me at all? Jisoo?- Lisa's voice brought Jisoo out of her reverie, forcing her to look up at her friend.

-Yes, I'm sorry, I was thinking a little.- The brunette tried to force a smile, but it didn't come out very plausible. She pushed the salad away from her, which she had been picking at with a fork for the last ten minutes. She had absolutely no appetite.

-Jisoo, stop worrying about her.- Lisa sighed. Being Jisoo's best friend, she knew about everything that was going on in her life, including her abnormal crush on a drug addict. Lisa was constantly trying to convince her friend that it was better for her to stop communicating with that girl, and now that this had happened, Lisa wasn't particularly happy. Jisoo had been gloomy for a week now. Kim didn't eat much, and she didn't seem to sleep. She was constantly silent and withdrawn into herself.

-Lili.- Jisoo sighed heavily, picking up another reassurance that she was fine, but eventually gave up.- I can't live without her.- Jisoo said with pain in her voice. Lisa reached across the table, squeezing her friend's hand reassuringly. What can she say?

Jisoo herself couldn't understand what was happening to her. She knew intellectually that she had done everything right when she said goodbye to Jennie, but her heart... Oh, that stubborn organ. As soon as she got home that evening, she began to regret what she had said. For a week now, there had been no news from the brown-haired girl, she did not appear either near Jisoo's work or in the square, where they often met. Most of all, the girl was afraid that Jennie took her words as a literal call to action and really went on her drug spree.

Jisoo hoped that her words would make Jennie come to her senses, that she would come and ask for help, but the days passed and the girl did not appear. Apparently, Jennie made her choice. Jisoo was getting angrier every day. At first she was angry at herself for choosing her words so badly, then she was angry at Jennie for not being able to at least try to return to normal life. How could a brown-haired girl say that Jisoo is dear to her, if she only does what she always does to get high? If she wanted to be with Jisoo, she would have accepted her help.

By the end of the second week, the brunette was almost able to convince herself that she hated Jennie. How could she possibly fall in love with a person who was on methadone when they first met? Jisoo tried not to think about the fact that this person sacrificed herself. Anyway, on Wednesday evening, the girl sat down to watch her favorite documentaries with one single thought: "To hell with Jennie!". Ahead of her were two days off, a planned meeting with friends, and, in general, a long and happy life without the hassle of an unbalanced brown-haired girl with a bunch of problems.

Jisoo must have dozed off and did not immediately hear an uncertain knock on the front door. She wasn't expecting anyone, so she didn't rush to open it, first asking who came at such a late hour.

-Jisoo, it's me...- Jennie's voice was trembling and barely audible. Jisoo's heart immediately did a somersault in her chest. That idiot is still alive, which is undoubtedly a good thing. But less than an hour ago, Jisoo had convinced herself to tell her to go to hell and not think about her anymore.

-Even from here, I can feel that you're stoned.- The brunette shouted, peering through the peephole. The light on her doorstep was turned off, so she could only see Jennie as a tottering dark figure.- I won't talk to you while you're in this state.- Jisoo sighed, cursing fate once again for setting her up with someone like Jennie.

-Jisoo... Help me... - The brunette was already moving away from the door, with the intention of returning to the living room and ignoring the girl, when she heard the last barely distinguishable words, followed by the sound of a bang on the door, but not like a fist being punched, but more like Jennie lost her balance and abruptly leaned against her whole body.
