Despite the fact that Lisa went back to work, Jisoo hardly saw her because of the inconsistent schedule. It was only a few days later that they finally managed to arrange for them to be put back to work together.

Since the morning they had to deal with calls from firefighters and rescuers, so there wasn't much time to talk, but Jisoo saw that her friend was constantly casting strange glances at her. This has happened to Lisa only in a few cases: either she messed up and is afraid that Jisoo will find out, or she has something to tell, but she doesn't dare. Kim hoped that this was still the second option, and the story would be about where her friend managed to meet Rose.

-Jisoo, if you do that again, I swear to God, I'll beat the crap out of you.- Lisa was angry as she drove away from the hospital, where they had delivered another patient.

-Come on, it's okay, the patient is alive, I'm fine.- Jisoo seemed to have stopped responding to such threats from her friend a long time ago.

-You and I are not rescuers.- Lisa persisted, violently yanking the steering wheel to the side to change into the next row, while cutting off another driver.- How many times do I have to tell you the same thing? Our guys take out the injured, and we wait and help at the exit. Who would you help if this building collapsed right on top of you? You wouldn't have saved him or yourself.

-If I hadn't gone there, he would have bled out before the guys took him out.- Kim retorted, starting to get tired of this conversation. Yes, sometimes she broke the rules, but only in emergency situations, like the one that was on call today, and she knew exactly what the risk was, but she wasn't going to promise that it wouldn't happen again. Lisa herself often ran into burning buildings to help the injured, but for some reason she forgot about it when she started lecturing Jisoo.- That's it, let's not discuss it.- Jisoo said peremptorily, interrupting her friend in mid-sentence.- Let's talk about you, Lili.- A sly smile began to appear on the girl's face, so that Lisa frowned in disbelief.- You and Rose?- Jisoo helpfully suggested, anticipating an incredible story.

-Did Jennie tell you anything?- Instead of answering, Lisa asked cautiously, what puzzled her friend.

-What was she supposed to tell me?- Jisoo tried her best to figure out what Jennie should have said to her that would be related to Lisa and Rose. Did the brown-haired girl introduce them? It's unlikely, because Jennie hardly knows Lisa herself, yes, and she would have mentioned it.

Lalisa decidedly slowed down, clearly intending to start a serious conversation, but the signal of the walkie-talkie from which the dispatcher's voice came distracted her.

-Brigade fifty-four, report your location.- Jisoo immediately rolled her eyes and picked up the walkie-talkie, switching it to transmit an answer.

-The fifty-fourth brigade is in touch, the patient has been handed over to the central hospital, we are returning to base. How do you hear?- Jisoo's reply sounded monotonous. Even if she had been woken up in the middle of the night, she could have answered any statutory question with memorized phrases.

-God, what do they want from us again? I need coffee.- Lisa groaned softly, waiting for the dispatcher's response.

-The code 10-52 has passed through the police department's wave. - A voice came from the walkie-talkie.

-An ambulance is needed.- Jisoo whispered softly, knowing full well that Lisa hated codes used for simplified communication. She also reluctantly learned the medical codes, not to mention memorizing a huge list of those used by the police.

-We are finding out the address and details of the call, stay in touch.- Meanwhile, the dispatcher continued.

-I hope it's not a shootout.- Lisa prayed with her fingers crossed.
